Why aren't there any Maltby club reviews?

I cant personally speak on the TS4 as I've never hit them but I imagine they would feel alot like my TS3's but possibly more "solid" due to the fact that they have no cavity or extra perimeter weights. Soft yet responsive feel so a really good club for a better player or someone looking to do a combo set in the lower irons like 8 or 9-wedge.

The TS1-IM I have tested against the TS3, STi2 G2, & KE4 Max all with the same loft/lie/shaft. the TS1-IM felt almost identical to a TM P790 but softer. The face is very responsive and fast feeling. In my experience the TS1-IM provided a lower flight and spin then the irons it was tested against. If you are looking for a hollow body foam filled iron with a forged feel I would 100% recommend it. Also as mention above I do have a 7i head I can sell on the cheap that was only hit indoor for testing.
I believe the TS4 has the ceramic composite and tungsten forged inside as well so they likely have a slightly different feel.

Seriously great irons! They are so consistent and provide some great number for almost everyone ive seen use them. As long as you enjoy a rounded shiny iron head it is solid! Just wish it felt a little better as you can 100% tell it is cast.

I happen to have a 7i head if you are interested.... Sell it cheap as it just sits. Bought it for testing purposes and didnt perform well for me and only hit indoors.

You are correct. Almost the same specs as far as the blade length and height but lighter overall weight with a touch more loft throughout the set.

Also to note the TS4 is a single material body while the TS1-IM has the Margin steel face so "should" be for faster ball speeds

They'll definitely feel different than a hollow iron, but I've played several sets of blades over the years, and the TS4's feel exactly the same on flushed shots.
They do feel a little firmer on mishits, because Maltby uses a slightly harder steel, 1025 vs the 1020 that most others use. The benefit to the 1025 is far less (almost zero) bag chatter.

Can anybody compare the TS4 to the TS1 IM?

Thinking about building a couple of these gradually over the course of the winter to eventually have a full set, just looking for info on these, and what you’re comparing them to/your normal set
I’ve hit both.
The TS4 felt miles better to me than the TS1-IM

I have a set of TS3's and they feel pretty soft, but I haven't had a chance to try any of the other models. I considered getting some TS4's but never did get a chance to hit them.

So who is the first to try these out?!

Also is anyone interested in a TS3.5 7i head?!
I bought it to test and it has seen a handful of golf balls indoor on the sim only.

Thanks to @JAyer38 I now have a 7i to add to the 8-gw. Turned out very nice!

You should definitely try the TS4’s! I loved them

Yes... But No.... But Yes.... But No... But Yes....

Does anyone know if there are official reviews of the Maltby woods (KE4, stw2) out there? I looked at all of the major golf magazines, mygolfspy, etc and it doesn't seem that these clubs ever make their review list, let alone their top equipment list.

The components come at an excellent price point for someone like me who can't afford a $500 driver, but there's really no way of knowing how good they are (or not) unless you buy them and try them out. Which wouldn't be too bad since their head prices are $60 - $80.

Also - does anyone know why? I have to imagine some people are buying them because I get their catalog every year, but to be honest, I don't think I've ever seen anyone in my groups playing their equipment.
Occasionally the YouTube channel Lets Play Thru will review Maltby clubs.

I really wanted to play there UI but it just didnt work out. I tried the previous generation as a 4i replacement and swung it terribly. Could have been shaft but 99% sure it was me haha. The good shots were good tho!!

I have two Maltby FW, Max Milled wedges and they are good. My son in law has the STi2 gen 1. They are really nice. I've gamed the PXG 0211 XCor2 with MMT 70 R shafts for past 2 seasons and I'm getting that feeling of "I want new irons" again. I'm considering the TS3.5, TS1-IM or STi2 gen 2.
I have the entire winter to obsess about it now. That and a mini-driver, new driver and the new Maltby DRT wedges. 🤦‍♂️

Will confirm the STi Gen2 is a fantastic club for a cast head. Had as good of a feeling of any forged club on flushed shots but cast feel comes thru on mishits.
TS3.5 feels like the TS3 just a touch more clicky due to its design. But a great club non the less just didnt like the lofts it was offered in.
TS1-IM is for those who want P790's at a discount but with more traditional lofts. You WILL get compliments on how they look in your bag!!

On that mini driver note I would love 1 of those haha.

Forgot to add the KE4 Max-F. I don't mind the look.

Go ahead and buy a test 7i and let us know how it does!! Really interested to hear. Personally I would probably remove the rear backing plate because its just what I do haha

I'm pushing my season to Black Friday with a scramble. After that I'll probably be done until March. It's rare that the weather is permitting enough to play winter golf here on Long Island. If temps get above 37-38 degrees with little wind and there's no snow on the ground, I'll play. Last year it rained 3-4 days a week. Temps were accommodating but the courses were swamps and unplayable.

Customer brought in a set of STi2 heads to get built out. Gotta say these look quite a bit better in hand than they do online or in the catalog. For $30/head I’d consider these if I were in the game improvement market.

Were they the Gen2's or the Gen1's? Honestly the G2's are a gem in person

I believe they’re the current model. They were new heads.

I think you guys will enjoy this video and maybe some of you on the fence about choices maybe this will clear the water.

I have only hit the TS3 out of that bunch but I agree with his assessment of that particular iron. I think they are the best value in golf, clubs or otherwise.

Saldly I have not had a chance to hit any of the TS4 or TE+ club heads... The rest I have hit and can say I agree with his assessment. The STiG2 being a little underwhelming on off center hits but if you can find the center or close to it every time it is as good as any of the TS offerings.
Wanted to like the TS3.5 to be better but the loft change killed me....
