Why aren't there any Maltby club reviews?

Got my hands on 6 FGS Plus neon yellow shafts and re shafted the TS4/TS3 set I posted in here previously. The Yellow/red color combo looks really really against the black heads! Cant wait to hit these!

So X balls are the ones that are generally higher compression > higher ball speed > higher launch > higher spin, relative to regular non X balls.

For example:

I've used Maxfli Tour and Maxfli Tour X exclusively for many range sessions, I complained about lower launch and switched to an X ball and immediately saw an increase in spin, increase in peak height and slight increase in launch. I notice my maximum ball speeds are always with X balls by a few MPH.

I never thought a ball change would give me a few feet more in height on average (The added spin / ball spin was also nice), but that's my experience hitting many of them on the Skytrak. Some people hate the feel but I got over it and I always recommend using the highest compression ball you can stand the feel of and fits your short game.
This is interesting as I just switched from Maxfli Tour S into the X. I had asked for the standard Maxfli Tour for a Christmas gift back in 2024. My mom bought me the Tour S by mistake (and bought me 4 dozen). I was too lazy to go and swap them out. I struggled with ball flight all year. A buddy gave me a sleeve of Tour X to try. Ball flight was dramatically improved. I bought another dozen just to be sure. I’ll be gaming the Tour X this year.

It's no magic cure, but 2-400 RPM and a couple yards in height isn't something to scoff at. Just have to watch out for the lack of low spin flyers. A lower spin ball can make mishits go a longer distance by physics.

Spin is control, but spin can be a distance enhancer the longer the club is.

Well, I re-shafted the 7i and 6i TS3s with the Maltby Max Flex in R flex yesterday. Took them out to the sim today and while the lighter graphite shafts provided more club head and ball speed than the steel shafts they replaced, they do not perform nearly as well as the Cleveland Halos. Even with the weaker lofts of the Maltby irons apex, spin rate, and launch angles were all lower. Distances, ball speed, and smash factor were all a little closer. Left and right dispersion was similar between the two but there were more duffs with the Maltbys.

The TS3 heads do not provide the higher launch I'd hoped they would. On the positive note, it re-affirmed the Halos are as good a fit as I'm going to find anywhere else.

The time has come for ke to move on from my Maltby Irons so going to be selling them. Can discuss all the specifics thru messaging and will have them posted to Marketplace soon.

Thinking about dabbling with a 3W to fit a gapping issue at the top of my bag, who can comment on the KE4 TC Pro? Likes/dislikes? Has it found a spot in your bag?

How much are you looking to get from the TS3’s?

I had a 3w,7w, & 9w. The 9w is still in the bag and don't see it going anywhere. The 3w & 7w has sense been replaced but that's not the clubs fault, just a struggle area for me in the bag.
As far as the clubs they area a great design and have plenty of adjustability. Have had zero problems hitting them out of the rough or off the tee.. Feedback is present on mishits but they are as forgiving as any of fairway wood I've hit

I currently have a 5w (turned down to a 4w loft), 7w, and 9w in my Maltby bag. My dad plays the 3w/5w/7w as well. Good luck getting that 7w out of his hands (I believe the term is "cold dead hands"). As mentioned by @JAyer38, they are as forgiving as anything out there. From address, they have a very TaylorMade Stealth look to them which is just fine for me as I've played TM FW woods for a while now. They have a bit of a deeper face than the likes of Ping/Callaway/Wilson, which I also prefer. Distance isn't a problem either. The 455 Carpenter Steel face has plenty of giddy-up. Their hosel cog system is great, because it doesn't shift the grip or shaft orientation. Honestly, for the money you get so much more performance than you'd expect. They're yet another incredible club from Maltby that very few people know about.
