Title says it. Will your swing age well. As you get older will you be able to make the same or somewhat the same move as you do now.

I already aged. Swing is shorter but otherwise looks the same.

Yes mine has very few moving parts so I'll be fine...

Hopefully the newer changes will age well. The old one.... not a chance.

I’ve seen a few that there is no way that swing gets past 40.

I don’t know..

Like you I’m in that aged group. Still feel that swing doesnt put much stress on body.

That's about where I really started to feel it.

At forty I still thought I was pretty much bullet proof. Not so bullet proof at 63.

I feel my swing has gotten better (direction and dispersion) as I've aged. I'm loads shorter in the distance department but I'll live with that.

God I hope so. I’ve made some changes the last few years to reduce my backswing and take some pressure off my back

I've played golf for 60 years and have never changed a thing. I think it's held up well. I never overthink my swing, I just get up there and hit it. People have told me I have a very nice swing. Shot 81 from the whites the day before Thanksgiving and had a few rounds in the 70s this year.

I think so. Hopefully it's not something I have to worry about for a long time.

At 80 years young I now have a better, safer and more technically correct golf swing than any time in my 57 years of golf. What I lack is stamina and fitness and better eye sight.

Physically , I get a roadworthy certificate lol
Inherently , my swing won’t change @ 64,

What’s improved , is u understanding of what breaks down , when shot isn’t successful .That and greater management of game .

Yes fractional distance loss , I guess , but recent numbers are showing gain !! Several 240 m drives @ sea level & 238 m swinging draw round 90 deg bend par 5 ( loved it )z

So on balance, more to come 😊and solid swing.

I think so - my swing is pretty basic...bring it back, drop the head on the ball, follow through.

My swing is just fine. My body is not.

So... no.

66. My brother tells me I have the same funky, take it up high, drop it in the slot move i had at 16. I'm just fat and slow now...
But i played a lot of somewhat decent golf over those decades.

Ive aged and the swing came with it. Though the actual change is distance. I still have the same patch and flight but distance is not good. Keeping in mind that I am not one who works out. Never really have. So now that I’m at that point, I believe I need to “ pump up the volume” if I intend to keep my game respectable. Currently have some kettle balls in transit to see what we can do before the snow melts in the spring.

My backswing has been too long for like 10 years post surgery issue so if it naturally shortens it will be better for me. I have been trying to shorten myself but mind over matter has not been as easy as it thinks.

I hope it's the same just slower.

I have thought about this. But quickly move on to the next thought. Don’t like to think of this stuff. When the swing starts to slow down I hope to be a short game master like the rest of our older membership.

God, I hope so! I actually think it will. I swing very within myself, just turn and turn at maybe 60-70% of max effort. That said, I do regularly exercise and run and plan to stay as fit as I can for as long as I can. And when things start to slow down as I get older? I will just move up to the shorter tees.
