Wilson DYNAPWR Metal Woods

I get 5 brands locally. There is a place that sales them locally but I cant actually hit them so it would be a blind buy.
I forget the website, but one of them does like rentals for seven day trials for like 35 bucks - that might be better than driving six hours.

I was at club champion yesterday trying out some shafts. I asked my fitter what he liked out of the new release cycle equipment and he grabbed the Wilson driver head and fw wood! He was raving about how good they were. They looked really nice in hand.

The more reviews I see on these the more I want one. I think Wilson followed by Srixon have the best looking drivers this year.

I know all current drivers perform well on centered strikes and they're maxed out but its really refreshing to me to see all the youtube reviewers rave about how good all 3 Wilson drivers are this year

I was really close to ordering a Carbon, but I had already talked myself into a Cobra and wanted to stick to my guns. I still may get one at some point. These drivers look incredible and the performance appears to stand up with anything on the market.

I currently have a DS Adapt LS and Qi35 core model. Im thinking of selling the qi35 for the Carbon. I love how that LS looks but already having the LS Cobra I want to have a more forgiving option

Really eager to eventually get to try these. They’re some of the few I’ve not hit yet from this years cycle.

well, a 9 degree Carbon is in the cart...was gonna go full internet, vanity pick and do LS but no LH in the LS

At a demo day last weekend at one of the local golf shops, and though I was there to try out the RTZ wedges, I noticed the Wilson rep had all of the new woods and drivers with him. Since there was no one waiting to get into his bay, I stopped there to check them out. After warming up with a staff model MB 7 iron (absolutely love the look and feel of that club) I grabbed the carbon 3 wood. It was really nice, it had a great sound and feels off the face, while producing a fairly consistent dispersion pattern and average ball speeds in the mid 140's. I think I could game it and be fairly happy, so I moved on the drivers.

First up was the Max and it was okay, but didn't really stand out. The red profile shaft didn't help it's cause for me, as it was a little too spinny of a combination. Then I moved into the Carbon model and sheesh... If I buy a other driver this season , I think this might be it. Absolutely gorgeous at address, coupled with a consistent baby fade that left me with 20 balls out on the range that I could have thrown a blanket over. I then moved into the LS, but after a handful of swings I handed it back to the rep and we started trying the different shafts he had with him in the Carbon. Such a good club.

I was so enamored with it, that I never made it to the Cleveland bay, to see about those wedges. There is always this weekend, I suppose...

I like the look of these drivers and woods. I could do without the red but overall they look great

Yep....I ordered one. Found the same thing as you.

The Carbon driver is fantastic!!

I hit the Carbon driver last week with the HZRDUS Black Gen 5 60 and was amazed and how good the numbers were. It felt great as well. Had better numbers than my current gamer, TD Max.

Finally got a peek at the woods today, but did not have a chance to hit them. Man do they look good! The carbon shape reminds me a lot of tsi3/tsr3. They did a fantastic job on these.

Im not a Wilson supporter by any means but for some reason I really want this lineup to do well. Personally I think they're the best looking woods this year followed closely by Srixon. All the reviews have been outstanding.

I got a chance to hit the LS and Carbon on Friday and loved what I saw. LS had some crazy ball speeds but dispersion was more wild and had a tendency to get too low spin. Carbon was in the sweet spot with some great forgiveness but still fast and kept spin pretty low.

I hit the Wilson DYNAPWR Carbon and Max today. Some quick thoughts.

Carbon- This is one good looking driver! Classy, modern, great shape. Carbon was extremely straight. I don't think the handful of shots I hit hardly deviated off of the target line. Performance was good. 265 carry 278 total. Backspin was around 2400. Mid flight, noticeably lower than the MAX. Sound and feel wasn't my favorite. Very muted. Overall, it feels like a more refined version of the last DYNAPWR Carbon. Which I'm not sure is a good thing. The 2023 version was a wild, untamed monster. It was the longest driver I hit that year, but it was unruly. Not very forgiving. The 2025 version has way better manners.

Max- This could be the "sleeper" pick of the driver release season. Decent looks, I like the Carbon better. It has a definite higher pitched sound do to the Titanium construction. But, this outperformed the Carbon for me. 270 carry 283 total. 25-2600 rpms. Ball speed was higher with the Max too. Higher launch and peak height. It felt more responsive too.

Most will gravitate towards the Carbon and I can understand why. But, better performance and more money in my pocket trumps looks any day in my book.

Had the Dynapower Carbon in hand yesterday. As @Thrillbilly Jim alluded to, it really looks fantastic. Much more of a classic shape than the previous. I'd trade-in last years right now, (which I'd be lucky to get about $19.99 for.). Just no resale on Wilson woods. Going to hold off for now and resist the impulse.

I do believe we may have a little photo shoot with the DYNAPWR driver in the next day or two.

Just a few shots. Neat Winston Collection headcover with this media kit. DSCN6818.jpg

A few things on my mind prior to testing.

The original DNYAPWR was a sleeper on spin/distance, but it wasn't a forgiving golf club for certain types of swing. Mainly swings like mine where the face tends to slam shut at the wrong time. Also, it was a very low flying driver for me compared to many other models I've tested in the past couple years.

It seems like Wilson has tried to claim a bit more of the middle ground with this release, so I expect it to be more forgiving while still delivering some of that lower spin and speed. In a three driver lineup I think it's important to have clear delineation between models and I'm hopeful the Carbon is more universally friendly.

It looks great at address. I'll probably loft it up as much as I can to start since it's 9 degrees neutral. I'm hopeful that doesn't wreck the look.

hello there.

You know, I think I like the look of the stock headcover better than this media box one.
I can see that, but I'll tell you man - it's VERY cool. Super soft, some nice leather work, and the interior is plush. I'd bag it on any driver.

I had the older carbon out yesterday and even logged up a degree noticed a considerably lower launch/flight than I’m used to. It’s a pretty good looking head in its own right but this new one is a much better looking package.

@Hawk I don't know what it is about the shape of the face, but it looks like(from the front on shot) that it just wants to be hit mid-high toe-side of center.
