Last week, testers for the new WellMXS grip line of Hyper+ Midsize and Hyper+ Jumbo grips were selected. This will be the thread where they will be giving all of their feedback and all those following along can get their questions answered.

The new 360 profile running the full length of the grip, was a decision made based on feedback of their previous Hyper line of grips. The information provided here as well as discussion that takes place, can shape future products. So even if you aren't a tester, your discussion can have an influence.

Products will be in hands of testers shortly so be on the lookout for their feedback beginning soon!

Nice! I want to switch to these fully.

Love my Supers - excited to start seeing testing pick-up on the new Hyper models! Excellent grips all around!

Looking forward to this feedback. I like the feel of my GP Tour Velvet midsize +4, so the Hyper+ Midsize might be a good option for me

Finally the larger sizes have dropped! Super excited to test this out.

Man, I may have to check out those Jumbos 🤔

Man that Hyper+ is intriguing as ...

As a +4 user who has been pondering the move to midsize and loves the one WellMXS I have, that could be the ticket.

I am stocking up on some other Jumbo options to do some initial size and shape comparisons when the grips arrive. Also working on a jog to make the measuring process more consistent. SO if you have a favorite Jumbo grip you want compared, let me know.

Also trying to figure out a way to test grip torque amounts too, with a force scale, but still need to test a few things on that front.

Can’t wait to see the feedback on these. That hyper+ midsize may be calling my name

What’s your ranking on those going into this

Looking at the website, it looks like the midsize (and probably the jumbo) are on the lighter side, which is nice!

They don't mention how big the midsize is, so I'm interested to know that. Typically GP has midsize as 1/16th. Curious if the midsize here is 1/32nd or 1/16th.

Just a quick note: I also have Golf Pride CP2 Wraps (Jumbo) and SuperStroke REVL Comfort Jumbo on other clubs that aren’t pictured, and I plan to add those to the comparison as well.

That gives me seven additional jumbo grip options in total. I’ll leave JumboMax Small out of this ranking, as I only use that on woods and wouldn’t consider it for irons or wedges. One of the main criteria I’ll be looking at is whether a grip is stable enough to go full-line for me. I tend to prefer a softer outer texture from irons down, but that can get a little twisty for me on woods—especially the driver—particularly when installed with air.

Current Personal Ranking (Best to Worst)

  1. SuperStroke REVL Comfort
Soft, butt-tacky, great feel and texture.
  2. Lamkin Sonar Plus
Soft but sticky with excellent texture (unfortunately discontinued).
  3. Golf Pride MCC Plus4
Firm with great texture, but a bit harsh in feel.
  4. StarGrip Star + 360
Tacky with a nice feel and good texture.
  5. Golf Pride CP2
Good overall feel, but could use a more aggressive texture.
  6. SuperStroke Crossline
Good general feel, but the texture is lacking.
  7. Golf Pride Tour Velvet
On the thin side with only average texture.

I can only speak for me and what my ideal grip is.
1) Stable - IE not twisting or distorting over repeated swings
2) Responsive medium rubber feel (soft enough to feel a little responsive but not so soft it tends toward overpressure)
3) Enough texture that grip resists twisting in the hand on impact, but is not uncomfortable or overly aggressive

This is great! Can't wait to follow along. The one I got today in the mystery box has a lot of grip to it.

I love the energy in here already. I'm Clayton and one of the testers. I hover between a 9-10.X index with 6.x being the lowest I've reached with golf 1x a week at the time. Ended with a 10.7 this season when it froze. It was in the 9's when we started the season (it freezes for the winter here due to all the mud and rain even though the courses rarely close). I expect to do wet weather testing and although I haven't Locked it in, I'm currently planning on installing on a sand wedge and a wood - probably my 19* Sonartec SS-03. I'm open to suggestions, however, so if you don't think those are clubs I should grip up, reply to this comment.

That's a good selection of grips to pair them against, looking forward to your thoughts against such a wide cross section of grips. Especially interested in how you compare them to the CP2 Wrap Jumbos, since I'm currently kind of infatuated with those.

I'm particularly interested to find out how much the jumbo grips weigh. Because if they're in the 50g range, I'm switching for sure. I love the TV Plus4s, but having to bulk them up with extra wraps throws off my swing weights like crazy.

Should have mine in hand on Sunday or Monday, if UPS is to be believed, I will post that as soon as I can and add it to the measurements data I am going to put together.

I was one of the people that suggested running the pattern all the way down as I did have some issues with my index finger slipping around the smooth portion where the logo was. Happy to see that change. Love the midsize that I have been using on my 5w. Need to try the + now to see if I prefer that before I dive in for a full set.

I think you should use on clubs that will get plenty of use. Wedges for sure would so that's a good spot. Depending on how often you use your 19*, go for it. Or at least use it extra for the test like off the tee a few times a round as a second ball or something

Tracking popped up on my UPS app and grips arriving tomorrow! Excited to slap it on and share feedback

5w gets a lot of use on this course and one reason I chose it.

Nice thing with them is that it looks like they post it on the top of the grip.

Yes, I have as well. Looking forward to "real" Bigger grips.
