Hi all,

I have a FT3 HT draw driver with A shaft.That’s 16 degrees.
I have back issues and my swing speed with the driver is like 80 mph. So A shaft seems to work well with me.

I am considering to upgrade to the Callaway XR16 with a lite flex and 13.5.
This could be changed to 12.5 or 15.5.

basically I can try a lower loft to see if I can improve. Or if not...set loft to 15.5 and is basically the same as my FT3.

Hopefully will improve my range. Because the FT3 is really straight and dependable, if a bit short.

Could it work? Sure. Enjoy it, that was a good head

I played an XR16 with a 12.5 degree head for 4 years and loved it. My current Ping G410 is a 12 degree head and it’s even better. For someone that produces low spin numbers and doesn’t launch the ball particularly high, loft on a driver is a good friend of mine.

Price performance wise which should I get?

New XR16 driver 13.5 with light shaft at 170€
Demo Epic flash 12 with a flex at 259€

Epic flash and it’s not close.

In what way?
Is it due to jailbreak tech?

I've been using the high loft driver heads in my last two, Epic and Mavrik and loved the flexibility with additional loft.
