I find it almost impossible not to flex my left wrist upwards and to keep it straight.

So i was thinking about buying something to try to keep my left wrist straight that I could literally strap on my arm.

Something like this

So - dumb question

Has anyone had any experience or recommendations with wrist attachments and do they work to keep the left wrist stright?

You could use an elastic band of some sort (sweat band, rubber band, etc.) and a cheap, sturdy, flat object like a short (~6”) ruler or a spoon. Some just stick a spoon in their glove.

In my experience the first product you linked is better for finding the top/end of your backswing than it is to find the wrist position you are wanting. The second product would work, but is expensive for what it is.
