Say you've got a round of golf coming up later in the day or the next day. Somewhere along the way something sets you off like an argument with the wife or something else just doesn't go right, or you're just out of balance and you head to the golf course thinking why am I even bothering I'm not going to play well today so why try. Or the exact opposite you're heading to the course and everything is terrific and you're thinking to yourself I'm going to kill it today. What I'm getting at here is when you head to the course out of kilter and you end up having a great round of golf when expectations were very low. And on the other vain expectations are high and you have a terrible round of golf. Have you ever had this happen to you?
I remember a buddy of mine and I were heading out to play on a day were it was raining not heavy just a very light drizzle and I wasn't in the best of moods (don't remember why) and heading to the course I'm thinking why am I am going today. Turns out I end up shooting a 83 that day and had a great time. That's kinda why you gotta play the game because you just don't know.
