As the season winds down, I thought it’d be fun to look back and share the one shot that stood out from your 2025 golf year.
It could be:
  • A pured strike that felt like butter at impact
  • A clutch putt to save a round or win a tourney
  • A crazy recovery shot from the trees
  • Or even your first eagle, ace, or albatross
Tell the story…where it happened, what club you hit, and what was going through your mind. Bonus points for photos or video!

@JDax will know where I am going with this one...

Day 2 of the Worldwide Golf Championship at Victoria National. We are on 18 having just tied our match on 17 and need to win the hole to win a full point and end the weekend on a high note. Wind blowing hard in our face, and you have to carry water on 18 to get to the fairway. On Saturday on this same hole, I played a 5w, hit it too far out of the toe and it turned too much left to right and I splashed it.

Jdax had hit a good drive but it faded just a touch too much and ended up wet (would have been safe without the wind, no question) and so I HAD to get a ball into the fairway to give us a shot on the hole. I went with my Elyte mini driver and took a line where it was only 235-240 to a bunker across the fairway, and hit a perfect shot on my intended line directly into the wind. Got it in the fairway and we went on to win the hole.

This is not only the best shot of my 2025 season, but easily the most clutch golf shot I've ever hit, given the circumstances.

Mine was an albatross 🦅🦅 at Walden Ponds near Cincinnati, Ohio.

Driver, then 5-iron. The pin was back right, so we couldn’t see it go in but when we walked up and didn’t see a ball anywhere, I just knew. I took enough club to get it there but not enough to go long, and sure enough, it was in the hole! Unreal feeling.

Approach on #18 on day 2 of the Titleist Experience. Right at the end of the fairway, T150 9i to 15’ at a tucked back flag, in front of Marni Ines. Hearing “ohhh, nice shot” from that guy kind of hit a little different, as he’s kinda good at golf, and pretty good at his gig.

Single shot: A 4' putt to seal the deciding match to win our member guest flight.
Best hole: Eagle on 18th hole on a golf trip with friends, par 5. Driver, 8i (I BOMBED the drive and hit a speed slot), 20 foot putt.

Does December 24 count? If so, I would put my long putt on the Clive to clinch our match on Day 1 of the Grandaddy after explore all parts of the course on the first 8 holes.

If it doesn't count to this year, I would say there were two. One at Horseshoe Bay Slick Rock. On the "waterfall" hole I was feeling a little green from my breakfast burrito. I hit my drive into a fairway bunker, stepped aside and threw up in a bush. Chugged a water and then hit my fairway bunker shot with an 8i that lipped out and wound up a couple inches from the hole.

Another shot, although perhaps less epic, was a bombed drive that was my only 300 yard drive of the season, at Samoset in Maine. Set me up with a flip wedge and a tap in for birdie. It might be my single best hole of the season.

It was my best year of golf by far. The 1 that sticks out is a recovery shot after a bad drive. I had to keep it low and draw it around trees. I hit a perfect 4 utility and ran it all the way to about 20 feet.

Nice, and that is clutch given the scars from previous shots! Is it not a driver hole?

Sweet!! Good photo too so that cements it in the memory bank! Is that hazard right up to the front of the green?

Good times! You win some decent cash for that putt?!

LMAO the puke and rally almost hole out from a fairway bunker!! Can that be beat?!

Love a good rope draw recovery shot! Did you make the putt??!

The first shot that comes to mind is a 3 wood from the fairway that I put to 5 feet. I made the putt for eagle, but that was the closest I have been in 2 ever. Felt great and enjoyed every second seeing the ball fly towards the green:

Hah - pretty good. We also caught a piece of the “day 2” side pot 😀

Solid!! Good drive too to set up a good angle! Bombed your drive almost 300!

I see you have the GT2/GT3 combo. Do you carry more that one fairway wood or just a 3w?

Nice! Some of those member guests and member members can be a lucrative W.

This tee shot is slightly downhill, so I will give props to the added roll out, but I did hit the driver well.

I only carry 1 fairway wood (GT2 13.5*). The rest of the longer clubs are a 3 hybrid 21*, and a 4 iron utility

Definitely could be a driver hole, but at this point in the season, I was deploying my Elyte mini as a straight driver replacement. My average distance with the mini according to Arccos is 266, and I ended up just short of the bunker that was at 235, if that tells you anything about the wind that day. Lol

Sadly my season has not left me with anything truly memorable, but I do know of one that I hope my man @SVonhof will share from Briggs Ranch

I think it has to be this since it was actually caught on camera. Not seen is the bickering between @JB and I for about 3 minutes prior.
That one was pretty good.

Probably my 6 iron to 5-feet on the #14th hole at Victoria National. Just because of what an iconic hole that is
