one of the things that made it even sweeter is that my son (from the forward tee visible in the pic) drove it to pin high just left of the green, then chipped it close and made the birdie putt. so we were -3 combined on this hole.

Way better than I thought they'd be...I thought they'd be pretty unforgiving compared to the cbx (which yeah, I think the cbx are "easier") but it was just me....I love them. I am comfortable with them now.

Good deal, I am sure they dialed you in during your experience too. Did you have a lot of options for the grinds and shafts?

Defense is incredible.
QB is late on reads, doesn't throw guys open.
Coach does not appear to trust QB.

the Maxfli Tour S seems to be in the sweet spot for me: slightly lower compression that better matches my swing speed while still having a higher spin urethane cover for approaches and short game. the Titleist Tour Soft isn't urethane and definitely doesn't stop as fast. plus the better price point is nice in a ball that doesn't appear to give any thing up in my game.

Epic, won't forget that story esp since you won the hole. What was the group you were playing doing?!

My best shot of the year did not count. When I play solo rounds, I always hit two balls on the par 3's. From the senior tees, the hole was playing 128 yards and on my second shot the ball one hopped into the hole. Even though it didn't count, it was still exciting and gratifying.
