Your Favorite Golf Shoes to Walk In

Right now they might be the new Asics. Man were those comfy today.

Pretty much anything that ECCO makes fits me and they are so comfortable. My poor olds knees love them as do me feet. We have to remember, none of us are the same. Our walking, posture, knees, backs, legs, feet, well one brand or style might not work for some. The best thing I ever did was go to a foot specialist ( insurance picked up 80%) and he advised me after taking some foot prints and arch exam and x-ray. I needed a good arch, supportive tighter heel and a wider shoe. Plus reduce some weight and get the load off my knees and feet. And he recommended shoes, including golf, which led me to ECCO for golf and SAS for general walking.

I stopped wearing golf shoes last season. I wear Hoka One One Goatspeed GTX*. They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn on the course, they have good traction, and are waterproof...having a Gore-Tex lining. In my experience I have found that without the Gore-Tex lining no golf shoe is really waterproof. I think Ecco is the only manufacturer that offers golf shoe with a GT lining.

*Not sure what a "Goatspeed" is, lol

Alright, so I'm looking to walk more rounds in 2021, and want some feedback from those who have course tested shoes. Let me know which golf shoes you find that are most comfortable, but still perform in all conditions. Bonus point for pictures!
Anything true links wear is amazing for sneaker feel. The OG has wide toe box and zero drop which are my jam. The others have more progressive drop and most have amazing waterproof. My favorite golf shoes for dry conditions are my vivo barefoots. If you want a close to barefoot and natural golf experience, I’d try this. Helped a lot with hip/back pain too.

I'll throw in another vote for True Linkswear. I am on my 4th pair of knits over the past 3 or 4 years (almost all of my rounds are walking and carrying), and they have also become my go-to shoes for walking around off the course (after i wear down the spikeless part to where they need to be replaced). I also have two pairs of the OG Feels, haha.

For reference, I have a preference for shoes that have a zero or near zero drop and a slightly thinner sole, as I don't like to walk around on super cushy shoes. Most of my other shoes are also flats or minimalist shoes too.
