What is your favorite hole in your state? Caveat is that you have to have played it.

I don't necessarily have one favorite hole but I do have a favorite series of holes. Number 12, 13 and 14 at Elkhorn Ridge outside of Spearfish, SD. The majority of the course is a sprawling, wide open almost links style course but with a lot of elevation changes. However 12, 13 and 14 snake in to this little canyon and provides a gorgeous backdrop. I don't have real great pictures but did take a couple the last time wasI there.

Wild Rock #6, Wisconsin Dells ... Par 5, #1 handicap hole, requires 3 great shots...stunning from the tee

I believe it’s hole 14 at CoyoteCreek. It’s a dog leg left par 5 with a giant tree right in the middle of the fairway. Friday I nailed a booming drive only to hit the top of the tree and get robbed of about 50 yards.

I'm a sucker for picturesque Par 3's so I think this may be my favorite Par 3 I have played in the state of CA which would make it my favorite hole in CA. I'm sure you know where this is....

Soooooo many great holes in California, but one of my favorite courses (scenery) is Yocha Dehe! Course is in the middle of nowhere but well worth the effort to play it. Last time I played it was about 3 years ago. Couldn't find any of my own 1574026483481.pngpictures but course is amazing.

Wow! I need to get out more.

First hole at Yoche is my favorite opening tee shot

#17 at Boulder creek. Island green par 3 that drops way down. Such a beautiful hole that plays short but can still be really tricky with the elevation change.

Bandon Dunes #16

I think this is maybe the perfect golf hole. It is scenic, with the ocean along the right. It gives us options off the tee. It is risk / reward. Big hitters - and moderate hitters if the wind is right - can drive the par 4. We can play it safe and go left but then our second shot it visually intimidating because we are hitting toward a cliff and ocean. We can lay up - this still requires us to clear a natural ravine - but then our approach shot is to a blind green and we know that cliff and ocean are in play.

#13 at Sea Island Seaside Course. Risk/reward par-4 with water down the left, the farther left you go, the better and easier the approach. (Similar to 18 at Sawgrass)

Plus the backdrop is unreal.

#7 at Country View in Brooks Maine, 350yds from the blues.20190923_163237.jpg

And almost driving the green makes me feel like a internet golfer!?20190923_163607.jpg
Of course we won't mention the 260 ft. elevation change.?20191117_202818.jpg

I've been thinking about this one for a while. I'm still trying to think of my favorite to play, but I LOVE watching #4 at TPC Boston during the tournament there. Driveable par 4, that can easily end up a double if you're in the wrong spot.

My favorite hole to play is most likely at George Wright golf course in Boston, but I can't decide which hole.

Boulder Creek may not be my favorite course but it does have my favorite hole. Hole #2 downhill dogleg left par 4. For those brave enough to cut the corner and carry the trees on the left the green is drive able. If not going for the green the tee shot and 2nd shot are still demanding. Just a good hole that offers plenty of ways to play it.boulder creek 2.jpg

i like what you’re saying, but I think this is my favorite hole - level of difficulty, where it sits in the round (17th hole) visually off the tee, conditions are usually fantastic

make or break a round

This was actually one of the first holes that came to mind for me. The fact that I've gotten double on here as much as I have maybe had me a bit salty, but I agree with you here. It's a fantastic hole, and love that it's 17.

Since I am from Staten Island, NY, which is basically NJ not NY, I am going to put my overall favorite hole ever. NJ Liberty National Golf Course in Jersey City, NJ. The PGA has played the Barclays here and I got a golden ticket to play here a few years ago. With the views of the NY Harbor, downtown NYC and the Statue of Liberty this course is visually stunning. This hole is the 13th hole Par 5 489yards for the members. I am not sure what the PGA played it to, but with water down the whole left side of the hole from the landing area all the way to the green along with the views into the harbor with Lady Liberty it is visually stunning.

Wow fun thread!
There are so many phenomenal golf holes (and courses) in B.C. it's going to take some serious pondering before I commit to one. @manhattan01 any ideas?

First one that comes to mind is #8 at Tobiano.

Has to be #17 at Firestone North Course. Demanding Par 3 with little to no bail out. 3A955AF9-AE0B-4CE6-B8FD-7C222B73651D.jpeg
