  • Hi gingerista! I noticed your avatar on the Taylormade ATV wedge review thread & saw your "about me" page. I agree with your assessment of what golf can be. To me, it's similar to martial arts in a way: to be good, you must be very focused and simultaneously relaxed (no tense muscles) so you can move with speed.

I also use it as a form of spiritual practice when I'm alone - just working to stay in the moment & let go of expectations & desires & accept what happens. (Usually bad shots for me).

Welcome to THP! I don't post much but read a lot of different threads. It's good to see some females that love the game too. My wife likes to play, but we just never seem to make time to do it together (it's not as high a priority for her).

I usually play the local munis because i am always golfing and it adds up after a while. I am also not opposed to playing somewhere more expensive. I really want to go play wente vinyards or harding park. If you like we could maybe link up and play 18 somewhere. And if you get the chance head down to pasatiempo in santa cruz, its one of the best courses ive ever played.
It's an event for the amateur golfer that gives them the treatment of the pros! You should learn plenty here. If I can help please let me know. Jeremiah
Hi I am also from the bay area(orinda) and was wondering which courses you like to play. Love to meet new golfers to hit the links with esp. from this great site.
