Finally a TM driver I’m interested in. The M1 was a nice driver so I hope the distance is still there.

Was curious if Twist Face is somewhat similar to the tech in the F8 face, just related in a different way? Interested to try this one for sure.

Also, just went to the TM site, and price says 429 for the M4, wonder what’s up with that!

yes. Cobra calls it Dual Roll where they have altered the top and bottom of the face to optimize shots low and high. Similar, but different with this being more lateral in my opinion.

It's hammer time! Sorry, that's just what came to mind. I like the new tech. It looks good on paper when reading it. I hope it works for them. I think strong competition in the market is good for everyone.

Interesting information here on these 2 drivers. It'll be interesting to see how effective the Y track is in altering ball flight vs the previous T track. Touting increased forgiveness is a nice departure from the pure distance narrative a confused TM (and many other not-so-confused OEMs) has been pushing for the last decade or so. A few slow mo shots of off center impact would be cool to see the effectiveness.

Great write up! Really packed full of details.

Ill give up distance for forgiveness and accuracy so looks like TM is on a path to appeal to a wider set of Golfers.
I dont follow TM too much however this story appears to be different.

Be interesting to see how the Driver Marketing Battle develops in coming months.

If they work as advertised i'm sure they'll be immensely popular, but from a looks perspective these really do nothing for me. Really not sure why. Of course looks are they only thing that matters, right?

I just read the article JB. Thanks for pointing it out. Full of information about the 2 new models, and really piqued my interest. For me personally, the last few driver releases from TM (16 & 17 M's) were long, powerful clubs, but ones I struggled to hit accurately. Not being a bomber to begin with, accuracy wasn't something I could afford to lose. If this release can maintain or increase my distance while adding the ease of a straight ball flight, I am really looking forward to give it a go.

i guess i don't read so good, but can you expand on what "hammerhead" technology is? why is it called hammerhead and how will it increase ball speeds?

personally, i really don't like the look of bulge and roll at address. just messes with my mind. the old r7 fairway wood was one i could never get along with because of its face.

i hope it's a winner for them, and honestly i think it's priced very competitively. good for them, as i know a knock in the recent past has been that tm drivers are stupid expensive.
