Hello,

Just wondering if when custom iron orders are placed (with clubs being manufactured to custom specs at the manufacturer), if the stated swingweight of the standard irons is ALWAYS standardized.

Just asking because, if someone did something funky like got 1 inch short, 2 degrees upright, jumbo grips... does the manufacturer adjust the swingweight back to whatever its supposed to be?

Part of the reason I'm asking is most irons (maybe less so lately, but still most irons) do not have "ports" in which weights can be inserted by a club tech... so in my extreme example, how specifically would the club tech at the manufacturer make up all those lost swingweight points?

Do OEMs run lots of clubheads with more metal or something to make them heavier (to be used for purposes like SW equalization on custom orders)??? And--if they do that--how do they maintain performance that may be associated with a specific clubhead weight like MOI, forgiveness, distance, etc?

There are tip weights they use to get swing weight to either advertised or offered swing weight
