I'm sure this has been posted hundreds of times, but I wanted some of the THP experience to weigh in and let me know if you think this putter and headcover is real or fake. I purchased the cover separate.

-First off I purchased this Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 2.5 used from Second Swing Golf for $279.
-It came with a Scotty Cameron grip installed on it with the label and SN towards the back of the grip.
-I tried the magnet and it barely had an attraction to the putter head but would not stick to it.
-all of the lines, font and paint seem to be straight and good quality with areas where you can see fine milling machine marks.
-I am leaning towards real, but I greatly appreciate your input. No matter how hard I try I'm always paranoid about things like this.
See photos.

Why not just contact second swing and ask about what they sold you? Seems like the easiest way

Looks real to me. Second swing is a reputable dealer that I would trust the authenticity.

Headcover looks legit also, does it have an AME Titleist tag inside?

If it's fake, it's a pretty damn good fake. Contact Scotty with that serial number and check.

Wouldn't that just authenticate the shaft? Or do people not go through that much trouble to pull a shaft and put a fake head on.

That's a lot of work for a fake.

2nd swing doesn't really mess with fakes, I would be very shocked if they let one slip through the cracks like that.

If it's fake it a really good one, I think it's real.

Thinking real..... but could always be wrong

Thanks for all the responses. It does have the tag inside also. This is my first experience with any Scotty Cameron equipment so I tried to order from a reputable company. I just started reading a lot of the horror stories and got a little scared up.

Real. 100%. Don't sweat it. Drain putts.

I would think the better fakes would take a serial # from a legit club and just use it for a fair number of their fakes which is why authenticating means little.

Looks real to me.

I have this same putter and I see no issues with yours. I'd say it's fine.

Looks good to me.

I've had a couple of Camerons, this one looks legit.

I have the same one and everthing on yours is on mine
