Toyota Tundra TRD. Might pay more upfront but the value is there and will last. Plus I think they look good compared to what's out there
I agree on all points and Toyota got my vote.

Not sure where your info is coming from. I've been a service manager for Toyota for 10 years and have experienced complete opposite.I've owned 3 Chevy trucks; An 2007 colorado, a 2010 Silverado 1500, and a 2015 Silverado 2500HD (my current ride). No major issues with any of them. Just regular maintenance.
I drive ford trucks at work, and IMHO they don't even compare to a Chevy.
I have friends who drive Rams....I'd take one over a Ford any day.
Can't say much about the Tundra, but I do know that year after year Toyota (as good as they are with cars) makes crappy trucks.Stay away from Nissan. I just don't understand how any red blooded American wakes up one day and goes "I need a truck...think I'll go get a Nissan".
Honda Ridgeline.....do we really need to talk about this one? They look like SUV's with birth defects.
A GMC is a Chevy with different badges (which apparently raises the cost of the truck $5,000)...it's the same damn truck. So save the money and buy the Chevy.
f-150. I'd go 5.0L over ecoboost though.
Since I own a Ford F-150, that's my vote. 2014 with 152K miles, never had a problem.
This seems to be where I'm going next. My 2006 has 302k miles on it so it's about time.

You kinda lose credibility when you say Toyota makes crappy trucks. The taco has owned the mid sized market for years, and the Tundra is a great vehicle. It wouldn't be my pick but there is no doubt it's a solid truck that can compete in the segment.I've owned 3 Chevy trucks; An 2007 colorado, a 2010 Silverado 1500, and a 2015 Silverado 2500HD (my current ride). If GMC and Chevy would combine like they should it would be much more of a back and forth battle, although I think Ford would still be #1 the last few years. With 820,799 sold in 2016, the Ford F-Series pickup became the best-selling truck in America for 40 years straight.
It’s also been the best-selling vehicle overall for 35 years, powering through several eras of high gas prices and economic recessions along the way.
There has to be a reason for that...

Depends on what you want to do with it. If you want to hot-rod it up, go 5.0 for sure. If you want to haul anything, the larger EcoBoost seems to be the favorite. I can pull a 5.0 around the parking lot with my 3.5L EB. Faster off the lot too. I know nothing about the standard V6, but without turbo, I'd expect it to be a little doggish.
And for anyone talking about aluminum bodies, don't be surprised to see Chevy/GMC go that route in the next few years.
Heck, I've got the little 2.7 Ecoboost and it has plenty of power and over 20,000 miles I'm averaging 19.4mpg. It has the auto stop/start which I thought I would hate but it's been pretty great and I average 20-21 around town.
When you put it in to sport mode it gets pretty spunky too.
Yep, it's a solid engine. I was on the fence around leaving the V8, but decided on the 3.5EB based on the recommendation of a buddy who is a ford mechanic.
