I tossed a fun cover on it because I didn’t like the boring cover it came with

Moving on the the wedges: they’re all old and are mix matched. Some inherited, some were left behind at the courses I worked at for years so I took them before they got trashed.

To the irons: these puppies are brand spanking new. Callaway apex pro, from 2015/2014. These were new in the box and the plastic and I was the first one to hit them.

TM rocketballz stage 2 3w. I hated the matte white so I put my own spin on it

The feel off the face is unreal. Actually find these easier to hit than my old rocketbladez which have more cavity and are cast

Looking like PSI tour irons from my pops. He and I play the exact same lie angle at 2° flat. His TM wedges and hopefully a TM UDI 2 at 18° but bent to 16°. Now to figure out shafts!

Don’t know yet! I’ll hit them and put them thru their paces in around my birthday when my parents escape the cold in Maine and come down to TX for a week. Should definitely be interesting. He’s bringing my staff bag down with him to which I’m super excited about

Super excited to add the Mizzys to the bag. Changed my bag out too. Currently searching for a Mizuno bag that’s relatively current. I’ll snap some pics tomorrow. It’s my bag from when I played on the team in college

Love the Mizzy irons. I miss my old Mp-30 irons and I could have played a set of mp37 irons.

They’re literally the best irons I’ve ever hit in my life. They’re so forgiving and the forged feel is amazing.

For anyone who’s been on the Mizuno optimizer, what was your tempo number?

Mike, our south Texas rep said he’s done about 1000 fittings. Out of the 1000 fittings he has done only 5 have had a tempo of 8. I’m the only one he had done that had a tempo of 9.

He fitted me into 130 gram shafts. The X flex scared me. They’re darn stout C-Tapers.

The hybrid was even more interesting. I was fitted into a 95g X flex Speeder Evo HB. I picked it up and started swinging it to see how stiff it was. I think I might need a running start at my swing to be able to get any load out of it. It’s might be stiffer than the grafalloy blue in X I had in my driver.

Wedges are KBS CTaper 130X soft stepped one time. I got 50°, 54°, 58° all in their high bounce option because I was digging all the low bounce wedges into the ground.

I’m afraid when I start hitting wedge shots that my strike pattern is going to be all over the place. For some reason I have some sort of aversion from a 54° or did with my old 54°. Tomorrow I’ll hit them for the first time after my shift
