Would depend greatly on the user and their SS.

I tried just about everything that was out in January 2017 and didn't see much difference between similar heads. My longest drive of that fitting was with the Epic, but only by a few yards over my M1 (460 at the time) and certainly not enough for me to justify buying a new driver.

I felt like best overall for me was the M1 440 because spin was better for me (lower) and I didn't see a loss of forgiveness in the slightly smaller head. In other words, I can hit any driver as bad as the next.

I tested quite a bit in 2017 as well. The highest ball speed I saw on a single shot last year was with a TM M2. And it was by 1mph over every other driver I tested (917, epic and sz, z565, z765, g400, M1, M2, etc etc.) Offcenter hits, I don't know what else compared to jailbreak. I didn't game one long enough to find out. Being a low spin player, I couldn't get anywhere near enough spin with a epic driver to make it worth gaming for me. Some products just don't fit certain people.

Comes down to AoA and other factors I would say. All tour level balls are pretty darn close though, even non tour level balls are around the same. Having a driver with consistent speed around the face and a ball that matches your swing goes the furthest.

It might be considered old tech now, but I believe that Face Cup technology had a big impact on ball speeds. It's still in use today and it's in woods and irons, good stuff!
