Normally I'd PM a few Chowdahead members, but I thought I'd crowdsource this one.

A Brazilian friend from work is looking for a place (preferably Italian) for dinner on NYE. I got her and her mom some other not-terribly-touristy destinations for the weekend, but they're looking for a good restaurant. I told her pretty much anywhere in the North End, but if any locals can help with specifics, I'll give you an extra pop if we play in 2018!

la famiglia giorgio's. Everyone liked their meal and I had the lasagne it was fantastic.

Giacomos

Eataly (I kid, not really but I do)

JBs rec would be my first as well

And as you said some other really good ones in the North End as well.

To venture out and look in the South End we enjoy Coppa and La Motta as well and for NYE I believe they take reservations.

Also Santarpios for pizza in East Boston is fantastic

I believe Tresca is also in the North End and a decent meal.

Santarpios x2. Started going there at 2 weeks old. My parents placed me in my bouncer on the end of the bar. If she goes there, tell her to say hi to lefty, he’s the one grilling the lamb and sausage

Best pizzas I’ve ever had? Sentarpio’s...non touristy I would go with giacamos but too of the hub isn’t a bad touristy restaurant
