You have lots of options. What is the best form to you?

Curly
Crinkle Cut
Steak Fries
Shoe String
Waffle Cut
Standard Cut (think McDonalds)
Belgian Fries (Irregular Cut, Fried Twice)
Pomme Souffle (Chips that puff when fried)

Not on the list
Tater Tots
Sweet Potato
Home Fries

I am good with the standard cut. Anything bigger is not crispy enough, smaller and they are too crispy.

If I have a good sauce (i.e. Red Robin's relish), I'm going steak fry. Otherwise, I'm a crinkle cut kinda guy.

Curly seasoned....especially if at Arby's.

Curly fries are my favorite. Like the seasoning that typically comes on those.

A good Waffle cut French Fry is the best

I like curly fries but don't get them very often.

Shoestring are horrible because they get cold too fast.

Curly Fries, Waffle Fries, Crinkle Cut, Skinny Fries, Hand Cut

Crinkle Cut get me every time. Takes me back to when my grandparents would fry some up in their kitchen when I was a kid!

Steak Fries, not too crispy

Waffle Cut....Like the ones at Chick Fil A.

Curly fries have their place. I like the standard cut, I think 5 guys does the best fries.

Im going with that standard cut. Just the perfrect amount of crispy for me

Crinkle cut,but they must be long and skinny crinkle cut.

French Fry Form

If I’m having steak then I’m all about the Steak fries. Also with fish n chips.
Fried chicken then I’m a waffle guy
Shoe strings when at Houstons
Crinkle cut when having fried seafood

Really like the Pomme Souffle, they were real common style when I spent a lot of time in Sao Paulo.

Seasoned curly fries are almost always the way to go. Like Tadashi said though, steak fries with steak, it's the only way to go.

Crinkle.

I like all types of fries but the best I've had in recent memory were at Meritage in St. Paul, MN.
They are thin, crisp, salted to perfection and they serve maybe the best bearnaise sauce I've had with them.

I'm also a big fan of sweet potato fries that are cooked almost to the point of being burned.

I'm planning on buying an outdoor professional style fryer next summer to see if I can't learn how to perfect my own fries to go along with all the fish I'll be frying!

Waffle cut of Curly . Add some chilli on top and it’s unreal

I like most fries, but, my favorite is standard cut "full size". McDonalds fries are a little on the thin side to me.
