I currently have a 38" counterbalance putter. It is counterbalanced by the Nike factory grip, but I am not really a fan of the grip. I think it is a bit to small and I'd like something like a Superstroke, but am wondering if one of their Legacy + grips is my only option. Are there any other companies that make the longer grip that weights more? I know Winn does but I think that style is exactly like the once currently on the putter.

Thanks in advance.

You can use a SuperStroke and purchase aftermarket counterbalance weights.

The two major brands are the original balance certified weights that install before or after the grip is installed. They are pricey but cool with the adjustments.

Or

Tour Lock

If you know the weight you need:

I think golfworks also sells tour lock as does golfsmith

BUT if I was doing tour lock for a putter, I'd get the Opti-Vibe. Edel uses this in their fittings. I have an Opti-Vibe 3 inches down my grip in the Edel.

I have a SeeMore belly putter grip that you can have for the price of shipping.

The grip probably isn't overly big around is it? That is the problem I have with the current grip on there. It is more paddle like and I want something a bit oversized.

I put a clevis pin in the shaft before I put my grip on. If you wrap it in tape first it won't rattle around any, and I really love the feel. I'm sure the golf specific stuff is a little fancier, but this will only set you back $4 and IMO works just fine.

I had thought of doing that but since the putter is already 38" and I normally play a 34" I really need a putter grip that is longer and already built for counterbalancing. A normal 10-11" putter grip just wouldn't work.

The SS Plus series sounds about right. I tried their weight kit right after it came out and I didn't really care for it, so I tried the plus grip with this clevis setup instead and I was much happier with the results.

Ha ok that's what I thought. Was hoping to avoid a $40 grip but that might be the way to go

I use a SS belly putter grip and installed a weight from the RFX weight kit.

Correct, it's standard circumference.
