DIY Iron Reshaft?

I've never done it but want to and wonder if I should even try? My cf16's have a bore of .370 and I don't know if or how I could possibly use a shaft with .350 diameter. I also see terms like tapered tip that I don't understand.

Great video from Danny Le at UST on THP TV on how to reshaft your clubs. While it does not answer your specific question, it is a great guide for others looking at the topic.

 
From what I have read the cf16 has a .350 in the bottom of the head but the rest is .370. Callaway uses different ferrules to center the shaft in the head is the way I understand it. Is this correct? Everything I find says the head requires a .370 shaft but if it's .350 in the bottom that's not going to work.
