I need some advice. I typically play a scramble Thursday evening and am looking for a driving ball. What is a good low spin distance ball just for driving? I typically play 4 piece balls but am looking for more distance for the scramble. A 2 piece ball is fine and so is hard as a rock as long as it goes.

Received two sleeves of the TaylorMade Project S in matte orange from markm778 and I really love the color. Easy to find in the fairway and on the greens, in the rough a little difficult but what ball would be. Played a couple of rounds with it and looked the soft feel off of my driver but not as soft off of my irons. Distance was average compared to my Srixon Q Star balls which went a little further and even less than my premium Q Star Tour or Snell balls. The feeling I get on my irons were just average as well, not as soft as I expected it to be and certainly okay for wedge shots. I have more rounds coming so I will keep testing them and kudos to markm778 for offering me these balls.

I like the Duo Soft for scramble tee shots.

Chrome Soft ** the 2nd version. Got about 6 dozen of those to make my way through before I try the new Graphene version. I did find a TM TP5 on the course this past weekend though and played it for a few holes until it disappeared on a fantastic shot for no reason. I liked it a lot actually.

Does anybody else play the new toursoft? I seem to be the only one. Lots of chrome soft choices. Reasons why?

The Chrome Soft X plays better for my game. I might not have tried it if it weren’t for the GD reviews, but I ended up liking em better than my old Srixon XV gamers.

Currently have the 2017 Chromesoft X (Truvis Yellow/Black) in my bag

Once I get through those I will be moving to the 2018 version - Truvis again if I can get hold of them easily enough or will stick with the white if not

Right now I'm liking the AVX. For early season weather/winds and softer conditions, it's a great ball. I also picked up a sleeve of TP5x, have MTB red/black test pack coming, and plan to check out a few other options. I suppose my ball choice is fluid and likely to stay that way for awhile.

Snell MTB Black, I have played them all and these balls perform as good as anything I have ever seen at a much nicer price point. I have tremendous respect for Dean and his business model as well, its great for us consumers especially the ones that lose golf balls a lot.

Ive been messing around with Q-Star Tours, Tour softs, and Tour B RXS, and the winner for 2018 is easily the Bridgestone Tour B RXS. It flys pretty straight, and bites well on the green. That's all I can expect! I did wish they would swim back to shore when I hit them in the pond, but I guess that technology isn't here yet!

I don't have a single ball I game for the season - I have an issue with not being able to resist good deals online, so I'm probably sitting on 8 or 9 dozen balls right now lol.

Right now, I've been rotating between the Chrome Soft, TP5, and Srixon XV. The Srixon is a bit harder than I like, but it has solid performance.

I also have a couple dozen Pro V1x's and Bridgestone B330-RXS's, and 4 dozen K-Sig's. I may put the K-Sig in play in the next couple weeks out of curiosity. I'm also really interested to see how the Bridgestone's perform as well. I used to game the B330s regularly and really liked that ball, so I'm curious to see how the RXS compares.
