Wasn't out there to play, unfortunately, but we swung by Oakmont Country Club this weekend while we were in Pittsburgh to pick up some US Open merchandise. Must have been a fantastic day out there too.

Crazy windy today. Look at the way the tall stuff is bending behind the tee box. I'm losing 50 yards on the drive.

Bogey. Hit 9 iron just off the back chipped up and 2 Putt.
Slope on a range finder would come in very handy for that hole! You still on the back 9 now?

Such great views. Don't know if you know, but the 18th of the original course, Ocean Trails, fell into the ocean. My dad lives nearby and we have played it a few times since Trump bought it and I actually enjoy it a good deal.

I did not know that. Thanks for the back story. I, too enjoy it quite a bit. It can be a bit frustrating at times, and this past round was nearly impossible to score well because the greens were the fastest I've ever seen on any course anywhere in the world. I have never seen so many putts in a foursome roll off the green and down a hill.
