Hi all,
As title says looking for advice on which wedge shafts to install.

Especially interested to hear what other Modus 3 125 iron users have done.

So I'm just in the process of getting modus 125s shafts put in a set of Cobra fly z pros. Originally had s300's(s200 GW and SW) and used these last summer and love the clubs and shafts are fine but heard too many good things about modus 3 :)

I tested the 120s and x and 125s. I liked the 120's and feels great at impact but preferred the overall balance and feel of 125's.

I have a fairly smooth temp and SS last the one time I tested with 6i was high 80's.

I know I should get fitted properly but not really possible here in Budapest afaik.

So anyway I decided that soft stepping them once will be ideal and it also means I put the wedge shaft in my gap wedge so seems to have worked out well.

I only play 46-52-58 so trying to decide what to stick in the 52 Cobra Purr and 58 rtx3.

Which option is you think is best for GW and SW? Bearing in mind my PW has 9i shaft.

option 1. 115 or 125 wedge flex in the SW. And either 9i or 10i in GW.

option 2. 125s 10i shaft in GW and 9i in SW. So PW shaft = SW.
Better to have SW softer as play more cut down shots?

option 3. 125s 9i shaft in GW and 125s 8i in the SW. I do play quite a few cut down shots with the GW as well as full shots.

option 4. Use 7i of the 125x. And get hit loads of backspin :) Its normally suggested if trying this to use 8i but as ive already SS'd then seems to make sense to use 7i(I think)

ive not tried the wedge flex so only can go with what I am reading on golfwrx. I can not test them where I am atm and want to get it ordered to UK in advance. It's not a disaster if I get it wrong.

From what I hear and read though they feel great but are pretty boardy compared to 120's maybe better for 125x users and too stiff for a SSx1 125s user.

Would the 115 wedge flex be better as softer? But maybe feel too light which is why I am leaning to using a 125s shaft.
Anyone tried both?

I'm leaning towards option 2 but what you guys think?

Maybe i'm totally over complicating this ha

Thanks!

Buy 2 more wedge heads to mess with and leave your gamers alone. I think DG weight and high bend point and good for 52 & 58. Do look at DG Spinner (non+) for the 58

I have KBS $-Taper 125 in my iron set and Modus Wedge 125 in my wedges. Regardless of how you step them I’d recommend either of these two ways: 1) Use the matching PW shaft for all wedges. 2) Use Modus Wedge shaft that matches weight of iron set.
