While I was looking over the newspaper this morning, I noticed that an LPGA event will be held less than 25 miles up the road at a course I've played starting in 2017. I'm not particular fond of the course but it's a decent layout. While there have been tour level golf in the state previously, it was either in Milwaukee (Greater Milwaukee Open) or a major (Whistling Straits and next year Erin Hills) which is more than an hour drive. I've noticed that several of the Indian casinos in the Midwest have held Symetra tour events, but this will be a full LPGA event with a pretty sizable purse (2 million - they indicate it ties for most on tour - non major). Looking forward to getting out and seeing the ladies tee it up at this course. Sounds like they signed a 3 year deal with the LPGA so it'll be through the 2019 season.

The LPGA has done a good job of adding events, I might have to try and make it that way to catch a round or two.

Worth the trip. We go to Toledo OH every year to the LPGA event. The ladies can play.
