I tried tuning in to see the Mexico game on my Firestick but it was already over. I thought they had mistakenly listed the U20 soccer game in hockey section - I had to Google to see that they in fact do have a U20 hockey team.

Most definitely am interested the level of quality some of these national teams have. If I had to guess it would be equivalent to DIII NCAA.

Kane and Towes have had great seasons...while the rest of the team is obviously lacking. Slow and old in some spots. Young and inexperienced in others. Not sure what is going on behind the bench and if the coach is going to be legit in the long term. But man is today's game fun to watch. Should hold me over for a week or so of bad games.

They'd be dumb to try winning games.

That Debrincat is going to be a stud. What an illustrious period for American hockey - so many good young players.

It makes you wonder how good they would be if they put together a team for the Olympics in 3 years.

Trotz deserves every bit of praise he has been getting lately. But don't forget Lamorello - Filppula, Komarev and Lehner have been incredible bargain acquisitions.

I think they knew what they were getting with Filppula and Komarev, 2 solid, smart veterans. Lehner was really good for the Sabres but was terrible in OT, just chalk up the loss. His issues were attitude and he seems to have gotten his head on straight after recognizing his problems and getting help. I'll always pull for the guy.

That contract sure isn't paying off at this point. When you miss camp and that much time it's really a shot in your own foot...
