Tony Finau got a hole in one at the Masters Par 3 contest and he celebrates by running towards the green and really twisting his ankle. He dislocated it, drops to his knee, and pops it back in. As of right now he will not play but will try if MRI looks good.

Ever since Joe Theisman, I don’t watch injury replays. Hope he’s OK.

Crazy unfortunate injury lots of talk about here in the masters thread already

Nothing wrong with this topic having it's own thread, I kind of hate the one big discussion thing.

I really feel bad for the big guy, it was kind of a crazy reaction but the Par 3 is so much fun I can't really blame him.

He's going to try and play, nuts, I bet he has to withdraw.

That was nuts and it looked like he's had that happen before. Most people wouldn't just pop it back in like that and would probably start panicking once they realized their foot was sideways.

I'm with ya. I can't watch stuff like that.

If his leg and foot when viewed behind was supposed to be a lower case l, it looked like an uppercase L...

I watched it because I had no clue what was going to happen and then looked away quick and turned if off. Lol!

This deserves its own thread to me, it was disturbing when he sprained it but when he popped it right back in.... damn.

Watch him go out and win it all.

Reminds me of John Daly - he trashed out his hotel room drunk on a mini-Tour, smashed/broke his hand into his television screen the night before, then the next day when out and bloody won the tournament.

Maybe Finau feels like such an arse that he goes out and plays lights out.

The curse of the masters strikes again DJ last year and now finau wonder who it will be next year

Right! He must have missed his true calling as some sort of special forces operator. That was hardcore.

On instagram Tony said the x-rays and MRI were all negative. I'll bet he finishes, but doesn't play well.

Such a shame. His first major, after working hard and really coming on the last few years and this happens. And it happens after such a cool and fun event on the par 3.

He's never played in any major before?

Through 6 he is 1 under with 1 bogey and 2 birdies. Love seeing him out there going at it.

This right here. When I saw him pop it back in, I almost lost my lunch.

Hah my brother is the same way. I've watched the Finau dislocation at least 10 times

Didn't look like he was limping or in pain to me.

But now they just said he is starting to walk worse.

This is surreal. Tied for the lead with 5 holes to go. Hang on Tony!

Beware of the injured golfer! So glad Tony was able to tee it up after that incident...couldn't believe it!
