We played a 27 hole Ryder Cup style event against a nearby club at our home course, and I actually hit the ball pretty well. I was 2-0 through the best ball and alternate shot. Then came the individual and we got 1 hole in and it started down pouring with lightning. So naturally we went up to the balcony (which is covered) that looks over the practice green and the 18th green to wait it out. We got bored and got a couple bags of range balls and had a little competition. It cost $1 a ball, unlimited tries, throw from the balcony to the short right hole on the practice green (approximately 40 yards) and the closest to the pin took the pot. I threw about 10 balls, and total there was probably 50 out there, so $50 in the pot. The last one I threw I holed out. Needless to say the game ended there. That was my longest hole out of the year so far. Too bad I can't do that with a golf club...
