Call of Duty: Black Ops III

I got the storm for my VMP way early on. It's awesome.

There are a couple of really cool ones. I don't have a clue what the names are, but the chinese script ones are awesome.. And the sunburst looking one.

I got one of the moving Chinese script ones on a rocket launcher and it's the only reason I use it haha

haha I got it on the BRM and used that a lot in Zambies. Then I got it on the brecci and never touched it.

Been playing on my sons xbone every so often and I still loathe this game compared past versions. How many hours did you guys put in before it became enjoyable?

I enjoyed it from day one, and still love it. I think it is my favorite game since the original BLOPS.

Weeks! I liked it, hated it, HATED it, liked it and now LIKE it.

Does it compare to COD4? Not a chance. At least in the sense of what each has meant. I think COD4 was so far ahead and completely re-landscaped the scene of FPS.

My only advice with this one is to try different guns and setups. I mean literally try every gun available and see if you find one you enjoy and then level it up all the way

Practice against bots offline. I have been doing a 4 vs 14 practice rounds. I set the bot difficulty to the highest level.

I'm with you. I've enjoyed it quite a bit. I've actually had fun with it since the beta

Yep I just prefer Treyarch games I think. Their developers are also super in tune with the community which helps

Thats cool I know these games appeal to many people. Maybe I'm just old school. I'm not a fan of all the jumping and sliding and wall walking. I keep trying to like it, but end up super frustrated.

I have determined that I really suck at the first person shooter games

I'm not a fan of any of that either fwiw

Nothing like running into your teammate coming from the opposite direction while wall running.

I would say that Ghosts 2 or whatever is coming next will probably be more your style then. They haven't gone in this direction as of yet.

Hopefully. This game still feels like Halo to me with all the outfits and special powers and the jumping, heck even the melee/knife which used to be an instant kill isn't anymore unless your behind them or at least until you get high enough to unlock the knife I'm assuming. Also straight up Halo. Though I will admit Halo 2 and 3 was a heck of a lot of fun before all the jetpacks and stuff.

So as much as I am not a big fan of all of that stuff, if you play the campaign, it makes more sense of why it's in there.

I like it. COD needed to innovate. I think the AW jetpacks were a little too much, but BLOPS3 toned it down to an acceptable level in my mind. Almost all combat takes place on the ground in my experience.

The guys that can fly are usually crazy good though. That's a talent I'll never have in this game lol

To me it plays a lot more like the old halo's did..... and while I loved those games, I don't necessarily think it's a good thing.

I see what and why, but hope they bring it back to the more horizontal CoD that we knew in the past, once this 'TitanFall' fad wears down.

Exactly. You could call this Halo and most would never question that.

At this point I'd welcome a WW2 style game again because they would not get to use all the futuristic stuff.

The running, jumping and climbing through windows is the best it's ever been with this game. Now set it in WW2 and it would be really cool

I don't see a scenario in which they go back to WW2, but I have been wrong before.

I am curious to see if they can make the transition back.

So many things would have to get cut. Specialist perks (or altered wildly), General perks, scorestreaks, jump boosting... There's a lot to get rid of.

As long as they kept the gun fighting and general movements similar I don't see that being that big of a problem. They went through that with COD 4 and world at war and it seemed fine.

I think they could, whether they want to is probably more of the issue.

R.A.P.S in this game are the equivalent of the dogs in world at war. both insanely effective. Probably the best kill streak in this game

Minus the fact you can shoot down the ship in like 2 seconds I agree
