So, kinda random.... But today I was contacted by adidas golf asking for my shoe size, clothing size and address. I guess they've seen some of my posts on their social media pages and me using hashtags on social media. They're sending me gear for next year to be a "brand ambassador."

I thought this was pretty cool since I've been loyal to TMAG for yeeeeeears now. Anyone else ever have an experience like this with golf companies?

Yes. Somewhere here buried is a thread from me where Callaway sent me a new Big Bertha driver and some other items, plus a video just for being a longtime supporter. Makes you feel good for sure.
 
I'll be curious to see what they send you, cool to see them reach out and observe via social media.
 
I've gotten a lot of stuff in one of my older hobbies. I was reviewing quite a few items and brought in for design stuff a handful of times. A lot of stuff I was sent was prototype stuff and I had to test for any issues.

It was certainly nice to be appreciated after dropping thousands of dollars with those companies

Sounds like it's gonna be shoes, shirts and pants/shorts... They said to "be on the lookout for items to arrive soon."

When my new stuff shows up at the house, whatever it may be, I'll post pics here in this thread. I'm making the assumption that they're sending me a pair of the 2016 Tour 360's since that's their next shoe release.
 
OK....so....these showed up at my door this morning. I was literally reading an article about the shoe and the door bell rang. This is shipment 1 of 2. Curious to see what's in the next shipment. I'm assuming some clothes for 2016.

now that's pretty cool, how do they fit?
 
Coming from someone who absolutely LOVES the adipower boost shoes, these fit very similar up through the mid section of the shoe. They really hug you in the mid section/arch of your foot. They're not quite as narrow in the toe box, though. I know a few people weren't a fan of the narrower toe box in the adipower boost. Unfortunately, I have to wait 'til next year to walk a round of golf in these. Weight wise, they're nearly identical to the adipower boost, although I think the Tour360 Boost looks a little bulkier. The Tour 360's of the past were kind of a bulkier shoe in my opinion, anyway. I'm excited to see the comfort level, cuz the Tour360 Boost has boost technology through nearly the entire sole (except arch) where the adipower boost only has the boost technology in the heel section.

glad they went a bit wider in the toe section.
 
My only complaint...and it's a petty one, at that.... Love the shoe, but it has a lot of red accents. I feel like I need a red shirt to wear. I've been avoiding red golf attire since Tiger started wearing it on Sunday.

Ehhhh, I guess since I play more golf than Tiger does now, I can get a red shirt to two....I guess... it is what it is, lol
 
Well, alright then... Here's the full haul of what they sent me. 1 climachill shirt, 1 climacool shirt, 1 pair of pants, 1 pair of shorts and of course, the Tour360 Boost shoes

Very nice! Now go play a round in those shoes and let me know what you think. The changes they made to the chassis, are the black stripes tight to the shoe or a little loose like prior generations?

The 3 stripe wrap is loose on the sides of the shoe. The tighter you tie the shoe, the tighter that wrap becomes. Also, being a sneaker freak/collector, I noticed how the shoes smelled immediately (yes, I'm well aware it's weird I smell shoes) when I took them out of the box. You can tell they used premium leather this time. Would you like me to post up some more detailed pics of the shoe?

Absolutely, particularly an overhead. I'm hoping they corrected the heel being wider like it was in 360ATV and go back to something like the adipure.

Congrats on the awesome haul dude! I really like the color scheme of the shoes personally. I have a lot of red in my golf equipment (accents on bag, grips are all red, head covers either red or with red accents) so these would blend quite well.

Same here. I try to stick to a black, red and white color scheme for everything.
 
I'm sure the technology in the shoe will be awesome.

Really not sure on the colourway though.

Too much red for my liking :arrogant:

That was exactly my initial thoughts "too much red." Honestly, you don't really notice the red unless you see the sole. I've avoided wearing red for yeeeeears due to Tiger (as I previously mentioned in the thread), but I think I'm gonna have to get me a red shirt or a shirt with a lot of red accents on it to go with these.
