THP Regional Rivalry - Ohio vs Michigan - Sponsored By True Temper

Yeah, ya know, right? I mean when I think of legendary courses, Ohio definitely comes to mind. :alien:

I did say day dreaming right? Nope I didn't. Well I'd have to say we have a few more than Michigan.

Sure you do....
Michigan is one of the Nations Golf Meccas!

I keep hearing this, how many courses are there in the state?

300 par three courses and about 3 decent ones.

Almost as many as there are in Florida!

Arcadia Bluffs
5 at treetops
Forest dunes
Boyne Mountain courses
Black Forest

There are some decent options...

Not exactly, but there are some very good options and just under 875 I believe.
FL has almost double that.

My version of just under may differ from yours...

I think Florida has close to 1600. I must live in the kingdom if Michigan is a Mecca

You're welcome anytime!
Am I not correct in saying Michigan is one of the Top golfing States? Or is it just state tourism Propaganda?

Its both. Doesnt mean its not a great golfing state, which it is.
Just so happens that very few of those great courses are near airports.

And of course that the season is about half a year.

It may be one of the top states but my response was in regards to being close to Florida.

That is a fact! But a lot of the northern airports CAN be flown into relatively reasonably.

But the "Good Golf" starts a couple hours north of me, and I am in the middle of the state.

A place I will play golf tomorrow with snowbirds from your state. In shorts on a sweet track.

We will be playing in shorts, but most likely not on anything that resembles a golf course. Plinko greens and hay like rough and fairways.

Plinko really is the best price is right game

Played today and on a good path to crush some Michigan hackers in this event. 6months of prep left and I'll be on point.
