Course review and Live update Round

Playing in the Salt Lake City Open....

Is a deceptively tough course that requires very precise shot making off the tee....

First two holes are VERY INTIMIDATING!!!

This is the lake side, there are 36 holes on this course, the Lake side is constant feted the more competitive side, but the views are spectacular even with all the smoke!!!

This is hole #1, a very narrow tee shot, with a downhill landing....if you look closely, you can see the green down there with flag...

If you get a nice center of fairway drive, you are heavily rewarded with distance....

Hole two is a fairway forced layup...

It is split in the middle by waste area/native grass...

Just behind the 150 is about 15 yards of waste/native hazard...

170 yard Par3, green slopes heavily right to left...

Waste area/hazard to the left....

If the first two holes haven’t caused you to quit golf, hole 4 just might....it is 210-220 carry from the back, over a canyon....it is not a shot for the faint of heart!!!

Shortish Par5, very wide open fairway, about 45 yards wide...waste area on right, OB left....

Number 6 is back down #5....mid distance par 4 with bunker all the way down right side, up to an elevated green...

Very undulating green, three clear sections...

Hole 10- mid distance par 5 @565 Slight dogleg right....hole goes down canyon... plays shorter than distance.....

For the tournament, I am sitting at +2 through 9....

Approach into 10...

Hole 11- Par 4 dogleg right, blind green

Right by the road, so you get to see funny stuff, and hear it... fortunately not in anyone’s backswing...

This is your approach into the green, anywhere near the big tree or the candy strip is a great line into green...

Hole 13- 402 yard par dogleg right...dried up “lake bed” on right....is a lake 3 weeks of the year

For me aim to be at candy stripe makes for a nice approach into green...

Hole 17- Par 3 significantly down hill, usually strong winds as you are facing down canyon...rarely will play true to distance...

Lots of shrubbery, and since it is built along a canyon, loads of elevation change....there are some trees, but as you see, not the predominant obstacle on he course..
