Mine were a starter set of Northwestern clubs I bought at Walmart. Driver, 3W, 3i, 5i, 7i, 9i and putter. I snapped the head off the 5i once on a rare shot that I pured.

Old set of Spaulding Tour blades I bought from a garage sale

Ping Eye 2's I still have them.

I started on a set of Northwestern's in my mid-teens.

A hand-me-down mixed set of junk. I can't even remember what the brands were or where I got them.

King Cobra UFi 5-SW

Northwestern here, too, though I got mine from KMart, I think. I know it had a D, 3wd, and 5wd, but I think I had a full 3-PW and not just the odd irons. Those lofts and lies were all over the place, but they got me hooked on the game so I guess they did their job.

Adams Tight Lies GT's- they are still in my attic.

Callaway Solaires just bought this year, and about to be carried to the course :D

A set from my Grandpa. They were "Texas Classics" and went from 1 iron to PW.

Original Ping Eyes

Hand me down blades, but my first set that were for me were Tommy Armour 845

My brother and I each got sets one Christmas. His were Northwestern and mine were Palm Springs I think?

Jack Nicholas blades and wood woods when I first started to golf.

A buddy was keeping an eye out for a set for me and found one at a house down the road from him that was having a yard sale so he called me and I ran over there and got them. They were $50 for the set with bag and all.

I purchased a set of Nike Slingshots. You could be the worst golfer on the planet and be able to hit those things like a pro-amazingly forgiving. They all had very generous bounce built into them and you just couldn't miss the ball.

Driver- Cleveland HiBore XLS
FW- Callaway Big Bertha 3W
Hybrid- Intech 19*
Irons- Cleveland TA7 3-PW
Wedges- Bobby Jones 52* & Dunlop 56*
Putter- Taylormade Daytona AGSI+

I gamed that bag for sooo long too! Well, minus the multiple drivers I went through!

Mid 80's King Cobra OS

Wilson Deep Red fat shafts.

Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

Cheap Dunlop starter set. Sweet garbage.

Mine too. Northwestern blades, with wood woods.

... Friend of mine bought some Pings when they first came out and I just started playing so he sold me his Spaulding Executive irons for $100.

Some generic "radius sole" blades (that's the only markings I remember) and a hodge podge mix-n-match driver and 3 wood from play it again sports.

Knight brand that my father-in-law gave to me after winning them at a tournament or having them left over from a tournament, can't remember which. It's a brand you can't even really find much about. I still have them in the garage though.

Outside of using my dad's clubs, my personal first set of golf clubs were:

Driver - Ping TiSI
FW - Ping 13*
Irons - Ping ISI 3-LW
Putter - Odyssey (small mallet, I forget the number)

My second set were Palm Springs Desert Edition. Full set of metal woods and irons 3i through PW. I bought them with money I won playing blackjack at the casino when they first opened up in. KC.

I was still gaming those when I found THP.
