That's interesting. I've played probably 20-30 rounds there and never seen one. I guess you could book one (apparently), but its not like there will be boobs falling out left and right if you go there with your wife. Its just a regular course.
Haha.. yeah me too. Never seen it.

Will put back on list then. Thanks.

Angel Park is the one with the scantily clad women caddies I believe. And my wife saw that and asked about it when decided on Vegas. So not likely lol.

Not when I played there last year. Also conditions weren’t ideal as it gets a ton of play

If you want to go for something really obscure, drive out to Pahrump and play Mountain Falls. Really nice course that is always very well-maintained. Sort of a local secret, since its in a total dump of a town. :D

If i come out next year i’d play this one

Yeah, I don't think that is accurate. There are several courses with the "Platinum Tees" girls, but I have never seen them at Angel Park. You can book them at Royal Links, for example.

Royal Links also lost their liquor license

Angel Park is just ok and a warm up round at best. Scantily clad caddies are a dime a dozen in Vegas and are available for a fee and go to the course you want through various services I believe. They don't just hang out at courses looking for a loop. Bears best was fine a few years ago, but cannot comment on the past two. Paiute was awesome in my mind though and pretty much worth the drive.

Still haven't played TPC but would like to along with Rio Secco and Royal Links.

We played Paiute earlier this year when we had our last guys trip. Fun course.

Shadow Creek!!!

Shadow Creek!!!

If you can tell me how to get a round under 500 I’m in! Except even at half that I still wouldn’t be in unless I win at black jack lol.

Hey guys, Vegas local here. All the above statements are true regarding all the options. March timeframe is an interesting time as the winter seed starts to die off, and temps and sunlight start to climb. But overall conditions should be fine.

I don’t have much to add, except that most of our ‘community’ courses out away from the Strip are lined with houses. I play Highland Falls, Palm Valley and Eagle Crest (exec) mostly and they are all pretty well kept.

I have never paid for Shadow Creek - well directly :).

Pretty much every tee box. March 18

That is horrendous and makes me sad. Arroyo was always in pristine shape.

As others have mentioned, Las Vegas National is nothing special overall and it's proximity to the strip/pricing are the "main" reasons to play it. I played with the superintendent, so he was able to tell me about some of the history and stories about the course (hole that was used for a scene in Casino and how they had to land the plane on a fairway, parties that were held there, etc), so that added to my experience. In terms of golf, it's just ok.

I played at Chimera in Henderson www.chimeragolfclub.com and it was super nice! It's a desert course with distant views of the Vegas Strip. Played here with @Vegasmav and he was a great host.

I enjoyed Desert Pines. It is close to the strip and if it’s hot there are plenty of trees for shade.

Royal Links wasn’t bad also. Little farther out from strip than DP but still an Uber drive away. Call ahead though as it’s gated and you need to call ahead for tee time to get in.

I love Desert Pines. Not sure if that is because I'm a local, but I think its very challenging and inexpensive. Pete Dye design, used to host PGA events way back in the day. The area of town it is in has gone down hill, but the same can be said for LV National and LVCC.

Gotta give me the name of that pit boss that got you a round! Maybe email him and lie that I'm a big roller (barely gamble lol).

Mountain falls what an awesome track. $60 or less for non residents, even the beer cart is cheap. The dual green system bring a whole new level of strategy to golf. Best yet, they never reseed.

Desert pines is a nice course. The biggest issue is how tight the course is.

Haha. It’s my host. He’s a golf nut too so we always play when I’m out there. I’ve played 5 rounds in 2017 and 2018 and have yet to pay for anything there. It’s been a beautiful relationship.

I’m kind of hoping to play a desert course as all my courses at home are tight forest courses. So maybe Pimes isn’t for me (assuming it’s tight bc of the Pines in its name).

Also, I’ve never played a course that overseeds. Does it make a difference besides looks?

Desert Pines is still a desert course, but with mature landscaping. But if a true desert course is what you want, something like TPC Las Vegas would be perfect. The two Angel Park courses are very deserty as well. Arroyo is another one.

As for overseeding, only courses that play year round need to worry about it. The big issue is that it takes a course out of commission for 3-4 weeks in the fall. All of these courses should be fine in March.

If you lose enough money they will let you play for free!!! Just sayin.

Lol. I might spend a bit at the sports books and on blackjack. But my wife doesn’t gamble and insists we do everything together so my golfing is gonna be pushing it lol. Trying to get a couple of friends to come so the boys can leave them at the spa.

Booked my week at Luxor March 9-15 :). Definitely always looking for more suggestions! Would particularly like to play desert style courses since everything my way is highly treed parks style, or wide open links style. Were a lot of great suggestions so far. I’d imagine pretty much every course within 30 minutes has been mentioned. A bunch seem awfully close to housing on google maps though. And if I see a house within 30 yards of the fairway, I’ll be missing to the other side by at least 40. Tell me please if I’m being misled by overheads. Tpc Las Vegas and arroyo in particular were atop my list until looked at the pictures.

My priority list as of now (not counting Wolf Creek if convince wife to rent a car for a day):
1-Angel Park Mountain
2 Bali Hai
3-LV National (purely bc a part of tiger’s 1st pro win)

EaglevsFalcon and I played Bears best a few months back. Was a great track for sure. The first nine is more tough desert golf while and back is a little more open layout

That was the first one that caught my eye originally. But it also looked like a ton of houses close to the holes. Real or not real?

For most of the hotels it’s true. But not so much it creeps into the mind
