Favorite Destination Course in Your State

That was going to be my suggestion. Especially the Pines course.

I didn't say Ocean Edge as the drive down to the Cape is ehhh and I wasn't that big a fan of the food in the restaurant for dinner for the price that it was.

But lodging and course was great.

Sea Island on St. Simons Island, GA

+1 for this. Love going down there. Plantation has a lot left to be desired but Seaside is unreal.

I’ve never played any courses at Reynolds but I’d imagine that’d be the only competing destination.

While Arcadia gets a lot of much deserved attention, I prefer Forest Dunes for destination for a couple reasons.

I was going to say the same but I’ve not played forest dunes yet haha. Arcadia is gorgeous, but I think the greens are just silly. Worth a trip, though.

Pinehurst. Great atmosphere for a golf trip with a nice variety of courses.

Cranwell I have also heard good things about and I would imagine this time of year it is incredible.

A couple of years ago we had a work retreat out there, I didn't play the course though, but it was still stunning.

Rams Hill out in Borrego Springs, saddle Creek in Copperopolis get my votes. Both remote with excellent golf and facilities

One of the few positives of living in CA is the year round golf (and other recreation opportunities), but the best has to be ......... PEBBLE BEACH!!!

I thought about picking pebble or Torrey but both are in cities with other great golf nearby so I went with more remote offerings

I live in Indiana so I would say the very best option is the Dye Course and Donald Ross course in French Lick. Nice hotel, casino, etc all nearby. I live in the Louisville area and I would say in KY, there isn't much going on in the way of stay and plays.

Next time we visit the sis and bro and in law I’m going to talk him into going here

I can only think of two in the province so I’ll go with Jasper Park Lodge.

Easily Pebble Beach. The best course I have and will probably ever play.

In Utah the easy answer is Sand Hollow, though really only in the Oct - Apr range too hot in the summer.

We went in late january and it was pretty cool, but man I want to go back. The front 9 was good... then the back 9 was just amazing.

Although not in my state, its not very far from me. Spirit Hollow in Burlington, IA. Killer place, stay and play lodging, great restaurant, and they have a new venue called the Shankopotamus Golf Academy they are building on right now.

Oh my do I love Pinehurst........

Same here. For me it also holds a special place since there are now 4 generations of our family that have visited.

I have played 1,2,4 & 8. I played 4 before the renovation and the Thistledu course.

I have played both 2 and 4 before the renovations. That will hopefully change within the next few years.

1 was cool. Short, kinda gets you warmed up for whats coming next lol #2's greens.....one cant imagine these unless you experience them in person. TV and pictures don't do them justice #fact

Lots of good golf in NJ but not too many resort options I can think of. Crystal Springs and Seaview are all that come to mind. I'll go to bat for Crystal Springs as being an excellent resort with a solid collection of courses (6 and a putting course) and good amount of food options. They also have a ton of other stuff to offer like clay shooting, spas, horseback riding, etc.

Chutting is not only recommend, it's encouraged on #2.

The only one I've stayed and played in NJ is Renault winery.

But Crystal springs resorts meet those criteria (only played, never stayed)

I think for Jersey it has to be Crystal Springs. Top notch lodging, quite a few restaurants on property, and a couple highly rated courses.
