Been traveling a lot this year and been to so many beautiful properties, figured it would be a fun thread. What is your favorite course in your state that fits the following criteria.

Must be open to public play or overnight guest play
Must have lodging attached to make it a stay and play
Must have a restaurant attached to golf course, lodging or part of resort

This should be fun.

Arcadia Bluffs here in Michigan. Still one of my favorites anywhere.

Without question it's Sand Valley for me.

Kohler / Whistling Straits or Erin Hills aren't bad either, but SV offers a lot more bang for the buck in my opinion (although it's also harder to get to).

Those cottages that I stayed in, while very dated were nice and the entire experience is a lot of fun.

Sea Island on St. Simons Island, GA

Have never stayed in the cottages but I have heard that. The Lodge is pretty nice. The second course is now open too. Time for a return trip.....I know a few of us who would join you.

Patricia Island or Shangri-La

The only one I've stayed and played in NJ is Renault winery.

But Crystal springs resorts meet those criteria (only played, never stayed)

I need to get to SV in a bad way.

Cabot Links/Cliffs.

I live on mine, though it's not really a stay 'n play, I guess.

I think JB is just looking for ideas for the Ogio trip hahaha

Haha, not exactly. It would be hard to take suggestions for travel in November.

On my bucket list

Probably The International in Bolton in MA

That was going to be my suggestion. Especially the Pines course.

In Utah the easy answer is Sand Hollow, though really only in the Oct - Apr range too hot in the summer.

One of the few positives of living in CA is the year round golf (and other recreation opportunities), but the best has to be ......... PEBBLE BEACH!!!

Rumbling Bald resort in Lake Lure NC. Out in the sticks, but two very nice resort courses, and ok accommodations.

Hoping to go in a couple of weeks. Will try and get a review up in November.

By far the one course I think of in VA is the Golden Horseshoe in Williamsburg

https://www.colonialwilliamsburghotels.com/golf/gold-course/

The LPGA plays there so that's got to say something about it. The course is always in phenomenal shape & there is so much to do in the area if you were to stay & play for a weekend.

Not a bad place to play a THP Event .... just sayin! :act-up:
