As a 2016 hopeful, I'm more about having the golf experience of a life time and playing to my cap or better. Winning the belt would be just some icing on the cake.

Honest question for 2016 hopefuls.
What means more to you? Winning the belt or having the time of your life? And i know you can do both and i know most of you are probably going to answer both, but theres a reason i ask this.

If your sole focus in all of this is winning, you will miss so so so so so so much.
You can't forget to stop and smell the roses!
The flower bed you drive by when you finish the front 9 on the Clive course....Best smell in the world. Wish i was exaggeratingLiterally, the flowers. They smell amazing at the Hideaway
And thats kind of the point in my question. Lots of "gotta win the belt" talk and rightfully so. They've kicked our ass for three years now. But i dont think theyve been so successful because of how much they want to win. In fact, i know thats not why they win. The reason they are sooooo tough to beat is A. Theyre used to tough courses B. They all are capable of playing at or better than their handicap C. They are there to have fun. Its a golf vacation. Not a mission. If your sole focus in all of this is winning, you will miss so so so so so so much.

Seems like we will have no choice but to have the time of our lives. Will focus on good golf and taking in the setting and the belt will happen or it won't. I play better when I am in a good mood anyways.Honest question for 2016 hopefuls.

Honestly what means the most to me is being part of a select few who have experienced golf nirvana. Then being able to share my thoughts and experiences with anyone who will listen. I am so excited to know that this year the Grandaddy will be returning and I may be one of the lucky few who get to experience it.Honest question for 2016 hopefuls.

The time of my life of course. What's a belt or any victory for that matter when nobody had fun or enjoyed themself at all? Sounds like a waste of your own time and everyone else's to me.Honest question for 2016 hopefuls.
