That one word/term..

Seconded :D

Err, I mean, that suggestion is

You're pretty lit, Shane.

[insert name] is absolutely KILLING IT!

If that were true, everything would be dead by now.

Oooh, that's another good one that I'd love to see replaced by something. So odd that "killing it" became something good. LOL

Divot.

When people really mean Divot hole. The Divot is that hunk of turf taken out of the fairway. The divot hole is what people don't want to hit out of.

hit it in the screws

Definitely baby / butter - can't stand seeing the 'baby fade/draw' and 'these irons are like butter' comments

There are plenty more as well but I try to block them out of my mind as much as I can

I’ll go along with this. So many newer golfers have no idea where that expression comes from and, besides, it has no applicability today.

‘Hole location’

It’s pin position.

Probably the word "pace"

Man, people need to lighten up and have fun! Jeez.

I'll go with "made for".

I'm going to try to incorporate all of these into one review just to watch the world burn. :bicker:

I need to ponder this a bit.

Agreed.

any use of the word butter. Butter cut, feels like butter, or "buttery"

Not a specific phrase, but whenever they talk about a player getting a warning, or being put on the clock for slow pace of play. I have never seen it get enforced and usually just laugh when they announce it on tv.

“Balls go too far”

any form of "gaming/gamer". No clue where it started but it sets my teeth on edge, as soon as I see it I am done with that post/thread with it in the title

He/She hit it "pure". or He/She/I "pured it" out of that lie!.....seriously?

Thank you for starting this thread.

"Sexy" when used in any relation to golf, or really any material goods needs to be banned from the universal vernacular.

I can agree with "gamer." I don't remember ever really hearing it until I started reading this board. No one around my club uses it that I'm aware of. It was definitely used a lot when I went to Club Champion for a fitting. "Baba Booey" is just insanely stupid and has nothing at all to do with golf. Yelling out that, or anything else, after a drive is purely juvenile. Those guys should be escorted from the grounds.

I honestly can't come up with anything.

"Clean" is another one that gets me. I see that used to describe new clubs far too often.

Same. Words just don’t bother me like they do others. Takes all kinds to make the world interesting I guess.

I honestly would have never associated "redacted" with golf. What have I been missing?

I'm with you. Apparently, what ever we missed was redacted.

Would that be the opposite of "busy", like comparing a blade to a cavity back like the Epic?

I guess. I never have used that word to describe a club. Don't see it used near as often on reviews or comments outside of THP but see it a ton on here with reactions to pictures.
