Hey I'm trying to figure out what shaft tip weights I may need to order to get my swing weights in order for the new shafts I'm putting on my bridgestone j38's.

So... I emailed KBS to try to find out what the raw lengths and weights of their KBS tour 90 shafts are in .355" taper tips- they just sent me back an email saying "95g stiff 102g" but the taper tips come in a different stock length depending on what specific iron shaft you order- the 2 iron comes raw length of 41" or something and PW at like 37" but I cant find any info in between- do they all weigh 95g uncut? surely they don't?

anyways- what values do you all think I should use on these pre build swing weight calculators. I'm going to have to add some weight for sure as it is because they're showing some pretty low numbers.

I got the bridgestone heads weighed at...
4 iron 244g
5i 252g
6i 259.5g
7i 266.4g
8i 274.4g
9i 282g
PW 287g

When I pulled old shafts they had 1/2" extensions and 3g tip weights in 4-7i 2g in 8i-9i 1g in PW.

I'd like somewhere around D1-D2 with 54g grips (just as an average so Ill have a little room if I go heavier or lighter with grips)

Again- main questions are- what values do I use for uncut shaft length (raw length?) and uncut weight for the KBS Tour 90 .355" taper tip in regular flex.

Thanks!

The below chart shows you the Raw Length of each shaft. If you will note the weight of all shafts 95grams are for R Flex. All trimming must be done from the butt end since these are Taper Tip.

Once you ascertain what playing length you want for the finished club, you would then delete the overall height of the club head then add back the hosel depth. This will give you the actual shaft length as it relates to each club.

You would then dry fit each club. Using a S/W calculator may get you close to what you're trying to achieve, but in no way can it be as accurate as checking each dry fitted club on a S/W machine for final fit.

If you're still confused, PM me and I'll gladly help as much as I can.
