Since picking up the clubs again I've realised there's a massive gap in yardage between my PW (45 degree) and SW (55 degree) of 30-40 yards.

how many different wedges do you carry in your bag to cover all yardages?

Edit: and what make/model

Pw at 46, Gap at 50, sw at 54, and lob at 58

My current setup features the following:
- Set JPX 919F PW at 46* for ~140 yds
- Set JPX 919F GW at 51* for ~120 yds
- Mack Daddy 4 SW at 54* for ~100 yds
- Mack Daddy 3 LW at 58* for ~85 yds (mostly used in bunkers)

Set PW at 43.5, set AW at 49, SW at 54, LW at 58.

I play a set PW (44*), a set GW (50*), and two Ping Tour S wedges (56* and 60*)

Callaway MD4 48/12 and 54/10. Use both of these quite a bit. I also have a Rogue PW and a Callaway SureOut

PW - 45, GW - 50, SW - 54 all set wedges

Taylormade Tour Burner PW (46*), AW (50*) and SW (55*).

I play my G700 iron set 444* PW, 49* U, and 54* SW.
Also, I play the Cleveland Smart Sole 58*.

Ping G400 set PW (44.5*), UW (49.5*)
Cleveland CBX 54*, 58*

I have a set PW @ 44*, The rest are Cleveland RTX 2.0 @ 50*. 56* and 60*

Set PW (45°) and GW (50°), Callaway 54° MD4 and Tour Edge 58° Super Spin.

I'm using the 58 less and less often these days, not because I dislike it so much as I'm getting better at swinging shorter and more sharply with my 54 which is producing better results with my short game.

Excellent !

I alternate between the following:

Set PW (45°); set AW (50°); Hopkins 55°; and Hopkins 60°; and
Set PW (45°); Cleveland CBX (52°); and Callaway PM Grind (58°).

This has been my setup loft wise for as long as I can remember:

Set PW - Hogan PTX 45*
48* - Cleveland RTX3 CB
52* Cleveland RTX3 CB
56* Cleveland RTX3 MB

It's going to be interesting to see what I'm fit in to next week since I've never had a wedge fitting.

44* PW
^^ Cobra King F6 ^^

vv Cleveland CBX vv
48* GW
54* SW
60* LW

... I have always played 6* gaps in my wedges and am comfortable hitting 1/2 and 3/4 shots using 48*-54*-60*. With my PW at 45* stock, I bent it to 46* and dropped to 52*-58* wedges which has actually worked out better for me.

I go PW (45) - MD4 50/54.

and so ...yea the clubs have become longer, hence the gap between sw and pw has increased at least one club if not 1 and a half. Most new sets (if buying a match set) now have a gap or appraoch or utility wedge that sits between the sw and pw. Different names for different makers stes but same club.

I have match set Ping g400 (as others here have) that goes pw, uw, sw and just stayed with the match set throughout with my fitted shafts. I also have (just obtained new) cleveland 58* CBX lob wedge. I had a titliest volkey 60 lw but I feel the 58 is a tad easier plus the new cbx is fwiw cavity back. Reason I didnt go with match set ping g400 LW was only due to bounce. The g400's wedges are all higher bounce including the LW. So I felt the need to go with the cbx wedge for the 10* mid bounce. This way i have choice for the different firm/soft sand and also groud conditions when needed. Im in hard pack sand I go with the cbx 58 at 10, in normal more fluffy sand I go with set sw which is 13 bounce. Similar chipping/pitching on harpan vs wet/soft/muddy. Not that i awys use higher lofted wedges for all cipping/pitching per say but just that now I have a choice of bounce when i do.

I have Ping G400 PW 44.5 & UW 49.5 with Ping glide wedges in 54 & 58.

My set PW is at 46* so I went with 50 and 54 Cleveland CBX wedges. Still pondering a 58 but I don't think I'd use it very often as the 54* covers most of that ground for me. Though if I played more courses with bunkers, I think I'd put the 58* to work.

Just switched from set AW to RTX-4. So now its.

Apex PW at 45
RTX-4 50, 54, 58.

Cleveland RTX-3 50, 54, 58

(have to update my WITB!)

46/50/54/58

Pw at 46, Gap at 50, sw at 54, and lob at 58

Same here, except PW is at 45. I could do without the LW, I cant do anything with it. My swing is shallow and instead of the bounce helping me hit the ball it helps me skull it way over the green instead.
