Daughter has a series 1 Apple watch, is there a good gps that will work on it? She tried one and she said it wouldn't, think it was Grint, not for sure.

Series 1 doesn't have a GPS built-in

Golfshot should still work, using the iPhone GPS data
 
I think GolfShot works on the series 1, but you need to use the phone GPS. The experience isn't great.
 
Any GPS information of the Series has to be from the phone since it doesn't have a GPS built into it.
