Ballooning vs spinning back. Which is worse?

We all know that a lot of people are looking for spin, but sometimes we get too much spin, what is worse: ballooning shots losing distance or spinning back shots?
 
Ballooning shots that lose distance. If you know your wedges, or play them correctly you can control some of the spin back.
 
ballooning. i think it's easier to modify technique/club selection to mitigate spin into a green than it is change your delivery with driver.
 
If you know the distance the balloon will land from you on each wedge I would take a balloon shot anytime vs trying to control back spin - unless you have to keep it low due to trees.
 
Id say ballooning because it makes it difficult to tell your distance because wind can have such a greater effect on it.
