Kiyoshi purple... weird experience.

I've played everything, from the 40g matrix reign, pro launch, etc... to the 96g v2 and 80g black tie. So I'd like to think I have a decent feel for shafts.

Current gamer is an Aldila RIP Phenom NL. I love this shaft. For some reason, I've had this desire to try a kiyoshi purple. Figuring it's less tip stiff, it would take a little bit to get warmed up to the launch, flight, spin, etc.

It felt completely dead to me. Like the shaft had no life. The purple is butt stiff, but I don't know... for ME, it didn't live up to all the lively reviews i read about it.

Anyone care to chime in on this?

Not sure how stiff the butt is on the purple, but from what I recall/read, the butt end is where most of the feel comes from. So if it's stiffer than your old shaft or the rest of the shaft, it can give it a boardy/dead feeling.

Ive never hit the purple though.

Wish I had it in a 03 flex. Tried 04 with good results, not dead at all for me.

Love mine, have the 65 04 flex & I find it far from dead feeling.
