My family over Christmas got into this big debate on what was the better movie...Coming to America or Life with Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence?
 
Coming to America only because I have never heard of the other one.
 
Coming to America is a classic. I also haven't heard of Life.

Coming to America is a GD classic. Life is.... very forgettable.

Coming to America is a cinema classic. Life was entertaining but no where near the level CTA.

Definitely coming to america. Martin Lawrence is hard to watch sometimes.
 
Have to agree with most of the others. Life was a good movie but I could watch Coming to America weekly and be happy about it.

Life is pretty darn good and Martin Lawrence is a lot funnier than Arsenio Hall. I actually laughed more through Life, but Coming To America is more widely known and appreciated. I feel your pain OP, you have a very solid argument here, but it's one where public opinion is heavily against you. I'll vote Life for you though!!
 
They were both great movies. My choice is Life. I'm shocked so many have never seen or heard of it. It's probably Murphy's last good movie. Worth the watch if your a EM or ML fan.
