I see them both walk in for handshakes and bubba deciding to hug it out. And Jason, stealing the spotlight by agreeing.

Nothing about Day comes off as phony to me - he seems like a pretty genuine guy. The stories about where he came from in his childhood and the relationship with his caddy/coach are pretty great.
Maybe the only thing that bugs me is how long he visualizes his shot during setup...
Yep...I think that's for show to.
And just so it's clear, I don't hate the guy. I just have doubt. That's it..... nothing more. I hope it's all legit and don't widh anything negative toward him.
I really don't know how that would be for show - staring off into space isn't exactly "showy". For someone who doesn't hate the guy you seem to dislike basically everything he does.
It's hard to judge. Some of us run to the Dr with every cough and sniffle while some of us never go. The vertigo thing I think was real and very tough for him but I can see him playing it up a bit. I'm still a fan. For now.

I am so lost by all this, but I've been plagued by spasms and marginal bouts of vertigo and there's nothing 'fake' about it. Pre-US Open Day had a history of issues and saw plenty of specialists... it's a conversation that was had during the event and likely continues for him because there's really nothing but time that seems to resolve those issues sometimes.
The back thing? I guess you'd have to be Jason Day to answer that honestly, but I'd like to see anyone posting in this thread to swing at 120+ and never get anything tweaked. Just last round I had a nerve tweak in my upper back that really only lasted for about a half of a hole, but it sucked for half a hole.
Day seems like an incredible PGA Professional and a great father. His story is rough, and his emotions on course appear about as real as they come for me, and that includes his over-attempt to visualize and level before every shot. I think the term 'haters gonna hate' is a bit over the top, but there's truth in it. You see what you want, and some obviously want to see a drama queen.
Hater. The word is something I certainly don't want to be labeled as. I was raised better and strive to do the same for my family. Maybe I'm blind to my faults. It's a shame it can't be discussed without being labeled a hater.

What could he possibly have to gain with playing up dizziness and vertigo? Slipping on that ground while in contention at a Major is about the dumbest dumb thing a guy could do.
Exactly how I feel.... nothing more.
Haters gonna hate I guess.
