Bump because while I just met this marvelous person over the Internet, he was one of the folks who welcomed me with open arms. One of the reasons I joined THP so freely was I saw a community with great people, and being the girl on the guys’ forum wasn’t the easiest thing to be. He was one of the first to welcome me and encouraged me on. There is a great group of people here, and I’m glad he helped me see them.
However I continue to see the disturbing trends from mass social media here on THP, and it saddens me. I know I’m the new kid around here, but maybe take a moment to reread Panda’s beautiful tribute to a wonderful person. And rule number one is don’t be a Richard, so think twice before you post.
The beautiful thing about golf is it doesn’t matter how you got there - a towering tee shot and 3 wedges, or a steady fairway mosey down the middle. It’s the same score at the end of the day and we all share a beer. Which is a clumsy metaphor attempt to say that opinions are the same. Doesn’t matter how you got there or whether you use iron covers or what color your socks are - we all hit the green. We all had fun. My belabored point is we all love this game and enjoy it. So let’s enjoy talking about it here and be a great community.
Happy golfing everyone
