My opinion is that Slugger White should have been fired following Stewart Cink's 2004 "win" at Harbour Town.
First White neglected to do his job (and accompany Cink to where Cink's ball lay in a waste bunker), and later White's attempt to cover up the situation made things worse.
Following the playoff White should have viewed the video with Cink and told Cink he had violated a Rule.
For his part, after viewing the video, Cink should have admitted he violated the Rule.
