Actually something like this happened to me a long time ago. I was in early morning commute traffic to the Bay Area and ahead of me and one lane to the right was a semi hauling a flatbed with a load. I noticed something flapping when all of a sudden it launched like that only higher up in the air. Totally one of those slow motion moments, I thought to myself that thing is going to hit my car and BAM right on the windshield. Turns out it was a 5'x5' piece of plywood framed on it's perimeter with 4x4's (as a cover to strap down over something).
